This is more of an air bnb with separate rooms than a hotel. There is no reception, you enter the property with a code that you are texted. When we arrived other guests were leaving early and told us to "run" - we should have. A cleaner let us into our room and she didn't speak English (not a problem). The room itself was nice but very hot. One of our towels was dirty and this was quickly rectified. We realised the air conditioning was broken in our room (the guests who had told us to run had the same problem). As there was no reception we called the maintenance number on the door, and left messages in both English and French via WhatsApp regarding the matter, which were all read. We also contacted the hotel via ***********. We left for the day assuming that the problem would be fixed as the hotel had good reviews. We returned at 10pm to find the problem wasn't resolved. The temp of the room was 30+ degrees (see pic), and there was no fan. We tried to call the maintenance number again and they turned their phone off. At 10am the next morning we'd still not received any communication from hotel management regarding the broken air con, 19 hours since we'd raised the initial complaint. We'd have stayed if they'd have communicated with us and rectified the problem, as the room was nice and it was in a good location. But broken air con and zero customer service in a heatwave is unacceptable. Especially as this isn't a budget hotel. Perhaps we were unlucky, but I would strongly suggest avoiding this hotel. I think a lot of people stay here based on an old Rick Stein recommendation but I think the standard of service has greatly reduced since then.
