room refresh needed they are outdated and old. The bathrooms are clean but falling apart. Safe did not work had to call maintenance ( No biggie) TV defiantly needs upgrade and r better service company. All around a great place to stay. Beach area great and multiple pools.

The spa was always cold as everything else was good. Staff was always very friendly. The Mexico travel solutions staff onsite put us on a wrong tour that we didn't want to take. We just made the best of it Otherwise, the staff was great....good luck.to everyone.

Riu was ok,my favorite was food, compared to other resorts i stayed in, this one was the best. Rooms are outdated, staff was pretty good.
We bought tickets for Coco Bongo club, but when we arrived to the club, one of our girls couldn't get in, even though when they sold her tickets they never asked her age or if she has an ID, when we tried to get refund, we were never able to locate Coco Bongo representative on the property.
Thats something Riu needs to fix, because we are YOUR guests and if you are allowing other companies to promote bussiness on your resort, you should be able to hold them accountable and provide a refund if needed.
I highly recommend Coco Bongo club, it was very entertaining for 4 hours, i truly enjoyed it.

Staff was very nice, except one security gentleman at the pool … tell people they can not vape. Although there are no signs stating you can’t. He was rude and then watched you for intentionally for half an hour or more. I noticed people who obliged but he kept coming over in there face and made a seem. No need. I would not go back just cause I’ve been to many resorts and they were just had bigger pools more beach and just was not up to my liking. You get what you pay for. Rooms were just not what I liked.

Had a great time! Loved the activities, loved the food options, loved all the pools.
At times it was hard to get a straight answer about excursions and overall directions, but it was ok and we worked it out.

Several dining and bar options, enjoyed several nights at the Sports Bar, lots of pool options and the beach was nice

Beautiful property, amazingly located, the views and the beach are magical. The beds "really" need an update. Restaurants and restrooms throughout the resort are not conveniently located. Extremely far from the pools, bars and beach areas. The staff is amazing, they are friendly, attentive and really make a difference. Food at the buffet is Excellent. The food in the Sports bar needs improvement, the nacho cheese sauce is terrible. Nice Resort!

When we checke in. We got a complimentary upgrade to the Riu palace peninsula, this was a great hotel that offered fun things to do for children and well as adult entertainment. Would definitely recommend staying at the peninsula
