I did not stay as a hotel guest. I’ll start by saying that. I wish I did because the service by Antonio and his brother when I visited was beyond wonderful. When I was researching where to stay in CAPRI unfortunately this hotel was fully booked so I stayed at a neighbor hotel. The hotels on the same street are nice, but the service is underwhelming/disappointing. As soon as I walked into Hotel Minerva, just to casually see the lobby area, I was immediately created by Antonio and even though we were not guest, he offered us coffee and either showed us a map of CAPRI, what paths to walk, what restaurants to go to, what we must visit, etc. I love how it is family owned, and that the managers of the establishment are born and raised in CAPRI. I encourage everyone to try and book here and if not to visit it and meet the friendly family. Also- it’s a beautiful place!

La Minerva is a wonderful property. Facilities, service and food are all 5 star. The brothers who own and operate the hotel were the absolute best in responding to any request. The hotel is located in a very quiet area, away from the hubbub of day trippers. We visited several other top rated properties. In all cases we preferred La Minerva. We hope very much to return to La Minerva.

Antonino & his team were faultless from start to finish. I rarely write reviews But Antonino is a lesson for anybody on how to Run an amazing Hotel.

My favorite hotel in Capri. Antonio and Marco are wonderful; thoughtful and caring. Beautiful view, delicious breakfast, impeccably clean, and staff are always a delight. Highly recommend.

A truly beautiful hotel. Everything is designed and delivered to perfection. Each room is designed with elements of the island in mind. The staff are dedicated to making your stay memorable. The standard of service is impeccable. Highly recommended.

La Minerva lived up to all the rave reviews. We were among the first guests of the season, and were upgraded to a beautiful junior suite with terrace. Welcome drinks, delicious and peaceful lunch near the pool, bathrobes, plush slippers and comfortable bed soothed our jet lag. Our two-night stay happened to coincide with the G-7 meeting of foreign ministers and rough seas that cancelled the ferry we had planned to take to continue our journey. The brothers who run La Minerva rose to the occasion, supplying us with the paperwork needed to pass through checkpoints, and organizing seamless alternative travel for us. The friendly, impeccable service, peaceful location and gorgeous views made La Minerva the ideal place to stay on Capri.

La Minerva is in a very special category all its own. Congratulations to a family creating a unique and beautiful experience for each and every guest that stays here. In any way you would want to measure the quality of a hotel from its guest welcome, atmosphere, decor, living areas, gardens, pool housekeeping, meals and drinks etc this hotel would score perfect marks in EVERY single category. It however goes beyond all these services to provide a feeling of returning home (if anyone could be so lucky).
