Very old hotel that hasn’t renovated since 1996. The tape is old and noisy when use. The corridor smell bad and the room has a mould smell. I slept one night and I left the next morning although I booked for 2 nights.
The carpet is dirty and full of stains…it must make me sick. Come on, Crown Plaza hotel….you can’t be that lousy, right? What’s happening?
I don’t believe the good review in ctrip. I booked the hotel after seeing the review but I think the review can not be trusted.

Hotel is in a good location. Service is good.
The rating could have been better if the hotel could control the cigarette smoke contamination of the rooms and air conditioning.
Worst was when at the check in counter, when a guest asked if he could smoke in the room since they were supposed to be non smoking. The staff at the counter replied, 'go ahead and smoke no worries'

Unmatched location for business or pleasure. A major upgrade should put the Crowne Plaza back at the top of Chengdu 5* hotels. Excellent club sandwich in 24hr room service and comprehensive and delicious breakfast with Sichuan and Western breakfast buffet. Staff are friendly and efficient, prices are reasonable and a little Chinese goes a long way for the mostly English speaking staff.

I had a wonderful stay at the Crowne Plaza in Chengdu. The staff were very friendly and accommodating especially Nico Bao. The all stuff making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The hotel is located in a great location, right in downtown Chengdu, which made it convenient for me to explore the city and visit different places. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was also excellent, with a wide selection of tasty dishes. I would definitely choose to stay at the Crowne palza Hotel again on my next visit to Chengdu.

The service at this hotel is good, and received an upgrade. Some may think the hotel is older by Chinese standards but would not hesitate to stay here again.
