Don't be discouraged by the narrow, single-lane road to get up to the lodge. Everything was great, from the location, the rooms, the service and the amenities. Two Saunas, two hot tubes (wood fired!), plenty of towels and fantastic views. Not to mention the cowbell sonatas. Food and service in the restaurant was adequate, as well a the buffet breakfast. I'd recommend this to friends who wish to have an out-of-the-way site when touring the Berner Oberland.

A very special family-owned hotel with super-friendly staff. Where else do you find three different saunas plus a steam room, a gym, a swimming pool and all sorts of facilities for small children? But even with all that together with skiing (a few minutes walk from the lift), don't expect to lose weight. Breakfast is easily enough to take you beyond tea-time (free cakes) and then comes a multi-course dinner of delicacies delivered by Markus. Oh well, there's always next week to start dieting. My grandchildren are the 4th generation of the family to come to Saaanenmoser - my father started us off over 60 years ago - which says enough about this great place.

The hotel is ideally located in the foot of the beautiful mountain and thermal center. The negative point was the staff not laughing, except the lunchman who smiled apparently the only employee happy to be at work. In fact 25.09 we arrived in early afternoon the room was available that since 16 hours we were given lingerie to go to bath one lingerie per person not enough to fully enjoy once returned to the hotel to take Our room we made the reception note that we would have liked to have a tone of condescendent we looked at and we told you you will have them for tomorrow we explain that it is today that we would have wanted to enjoy with a little Smile is told us you will not have any damage in question tomorrow. The breakfast was perfect as usual and very well-cheaped many choices to say more about breakfast with a beautiful view of the mountains a well-garned buffet was perfect.
