"Room is tiny but all necessary amenities are included. Beds are comfortable, the water is hot enough for a cozy shower and the air conditioning is working well. Staffs are friendly. Sufficient and economical on-site parking provided. A bit noisy at night caused by other guests though, bringing earplugs may be a good idea for those sensitive sleepers."

"I stayed at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is in a perfect location—central, convenient, and great for exploring the city. It has a luxurious feel throughout, with modern decor and a very clean environment. The staff were lovely—always polite, helpful, and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The room was well-equipped with great amenities including coffee pods, tea, and coffee, as well as both still and sparkling water provided daily (a bottle of each). A big plus was the in-room entertainment setup—you can easily connect your phone to the TV via the hotel Wi-Fi to stream your favourite shows on apps like Netflix and Prime Video. Overall, I was really impressed with the comfort, service, and attention to detail. I’d definitely recommend Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham for a stylish and relaxing city break."

"Nice cozy place with a wonderful, friendly staff. Good location close to the city center and Grand Central Railway station. The shared area is rather big and nice decorated. Beds are comfortable, and rooms are warm and homely. 1 bathroom for 10 beds may be too low, but I've never been in a queue."

"Unfortunately other than its location this hotel has nothing good going for it. There was a queue when I got there, strange for that time - 20:30ish. The lift was dark and depressing, the room even more so. There was an awful smell like vomit lingering in the room. The floor looked unclean. The bathroom floor was the same and the corners were filthy. I didn’t feel clean being in the room. The tv was good as it was a smart tv so I watched what I wanted. The walls are paper thin and I could hear every noise and things being plugged into the sockets on the wall. The doors banged shut and this was annoying all night. The wallpaper was very old and was covered in layers of paint. There is no air con, the heating was on when I entered The bed was the worst thing I have ever slept on. The springs were poking me all night long, I barely slept. There was no hairdryer either so I didn’t use the shower. If your on a super tight budget sta here but I’m sure you can find airbnb cheaper than this."

"To be fair Birmingham at first glance coming out of the station doesn’t look all that safe for a foreign traveller. The route to the hotel would initially reinforce that impression. However after walking the city the next day for over 6-8 hours, while the location is NOT city Center, it is actually located in a good place close to all the major places I need to visit on foot; train station, the mega mall Bullring, Birmingham city center / cathedral / St Martin’s mkt, the hip new part of town - Gas Basin (canal waterways) and also the city’s modern library with the rooftop gdns (@ Centenary Square). The rooms looked like it was recently refurbished. For the price I paid (58 Pounds for 2 pax), it was the best value out of my entire 16 day UK trip covering 15 different towns - up & down the UK (incl London/Cambridge/Leicester/Coventry). In short, a pretty damn good deal. It had aircon which was a major blessing in summer as most other places I stayed, didn’t have that."

"An amazing stay as always the staff here always go above and beyond for you needed slightly larger room due to my partner on crutches and they even put us in a room we was in before! Such clean facilities me and my partner felt really comfortable safe and happy here will stay again! Comfy pillows, bed, lovely bathroom shower and bath, toiletries on wall are very nice smelling, we will be back on Thursday to stay! :)"

"Good location but there is a nightclub nearby. It was too noisy when we opened the window. The cooler air cond) was out of order. Hotel staff Romila was very helpful. She arranged another room with cooler working properly. Therefore, we can close all the window to reduce the noise and can have better sleep."

"The hotel has a good location, about a ten-minute walk to the center area, making it quite convenient for getting around. However, the cleanliness needs improvement—the sofa in the room was noticeably dirty, which made the stay less comfortable. Considering the price, the value for money is still decent. If you don’t have particularly high expectations for cleanliness and facilities, it could be a reasonable option."

"Lovely and clean hotel. Rooms nice and clean. Enough space for our requirements. Great breakfast, plenty of choice. Requested rooms on a low floor and close to each other. Unfortunately, we were given floor 14. This wasn't an issue this time as there was no need to do the stairs at any point. Would definitely recommend this hotel"
