"I was so happy and happy that the hotel manage to change or stay to The Grand York Hotel as the originally booked hotel (Ibis York Hotel) was under construction. It was so nice and clean!"

"Otelin konumu sahane. Asla ekstra bir masrafa gerek kalmadan York' ta görülmesi gereken her yeri görebilirsiniz. Otoparkınin olmaması kötü ama yakınında anlaşmalı bir otoparki var 20 saat için 18 pound civarı bir para ödedik. Ayrıca kahvaltısında müslumanlara uygun şeyler de var ki ingilterede bunu bulmak zor gerçekten. Odalar ***et temizdi ve genislikleri yeterliydi. Otel personeli ***et guler yüzlü ve yardimciydi. Odayı 2 yetişkin 1 cocuk için kiraladik 2 kisilik ucretsiz kahvalti dahildi ve çocuk için ekstra ücret talep edilmedi. Acikcasi sormayı unuttum bende. Ama cok guzel bir deneyimdi."

"First time in this chain will definitely look to book again in this location and elsewhere. Room facilities and layout great very relaxing. Only issue was a faulty hairdryer which I reported to reception & they apologised. Good location in York for train travellers 5 minutes from the station . Centrally located for key sites. Breakfast was well worth it individually ordered & cooked  worth it. Lovely views from the room river wall and minster"

"We were a family group of 4 adults and 2 children , each room had a double bed and a good size sofa bed. The beds were comfy although the sofa beds were a little firm but were for the children who were happy with them. We requested rooms close together and they were next door to each other, facing the front of the hotel so with the road outside. The soundproofing was good and we did not hear much noise from outside. The air con was excellent and nice and cool. The bathroom was good with a large step in shower, and complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was included and there was a good selection to choose from all very good quality. The waffle maker was an added bonus!! The location was very good, not far to walk into the centre and very close to Tesco local for any extras you may need. We bought a few drinks as there was a handy fridge in the room. I would dedinitely stay here again."

"An adorable hotel in York, I booked another night because we loved it and wanted to relax. It’s just a short walk away from the main old town Centre, wasn’t a problem even in the rain. Very clean and quaint decorations, love the 4-poster bed and the towel warmer. Also provides bathrobes, slippers and even a complimentary snack room. We could go grab some chips in the middle of the night if we wanted to. We didn’t eat, but we had some cocktails at the bar downstairs and coffee in the morning. Service is great."

"My daughter and I stayed in a twin room for a night while we visited York University. The Hotel staff were warm and welcoming. They were kind and helpful and more than happy to let us leave our luggage there as we were too early for check in. The main lobby area is just like it looks in the photos. There is comfortable seating, a bar and a place to get food. The rooms are clean, comfortable and feel new. The whole place felt modern and fresh. It was a 15minute taxi ride from the station and a 5/6 minute walk to The Shambles area in York where there are loads of restaurants and cafes. I literally have nothing bad to say about it. We will be back to stay again hopefully in September."

"This was a nice boutique hotel and great location - 10 minute walk to all the main sites. The breakfast was lovely with a selection of pastries, muffins and cereals as well hot food to order from a menu. The room was large with lots of space to move around and the bed was comfy. Great shower too and you get free welcome chocolate which was a nice touch."

"Fantastic stay at The Grand. We had booked a suite but it was not one of the modernised rooms like we had hoped for. We went to reception and was greeted by India who kindly gave us options of 2 other rooms to move to and let us view both before choosing. The room we picked was fantastic, so modern, comfortable and even had kitchen facilities which was an added bonus. It was lovely to sleep in such a comfortable bed and not be disturbed by any street noise or noise from other guests. We went out for dinner and was surprised to come back to see we’d had a turn down service and little chocolates left on the pillows. Just little touches like this make you want to return and recommend to others. We would definitely stay here again, the service from all staff, but especially India, was fantastic!"

"Hotel is situated right opposite Clifton tower and is conveniently located within. The city centre - walking distance to the Shambles and other attractions. The parking situation is problematic - although aware it is first come first served, there is nowhere available to park up and ask except the three spaces in front of the hotel and if taken, you end up circling the road for an absolutely age before a space becomes available. If no parking on site end up parking over the road on public car park which is inconvenient as keep having to work out when to renew. The cleanliness is a slight issue, we thought there was dust on surfaces but more likely to be cloth fibres from the cleaners but still don't expect shedding like this. Room was fine but did think bathroom was on the smaller side for a double deluxe room. Service in general was good - couldn't really fault."

"I arrived late evening after a long journey and received a lovely welcome and an upgrade upon checking in. Both the hotel and the room were stunning. The stair case alone is so beautiful. My bed was super comfy and my room had a roll top bath and a separate rain dance shower. The water pressure was great for such an old building too. I also had a view of York Minster. It’s right next to the train station but also easy walking distance to the city centre."
