Our recent family getaway to Niraamaya was an absolute bliss. The resort itself was a tranquil haven, perfectly balancing luxury and nature. The rooms were immaculately clean, exuding a sense of peace and calm. The serene ambiance was just what we needed to unwind and recharge. The staff were incredibly welcoming and courteous, always going the extra mile to ensure our comfort. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our stay. The food was delectable, with a perfect blend of flavors and a delightful presentation. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Niraamaya and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating escape.

Actually we went there for an outing. But the ambience was awesome. It is spacious and beautiful. Clean resort. People are so humble and they make very tasty food too. Rooms are spacious and nice. They have a swimming pool for the enjoyment of the kids. Even though the road to the resort is little small, the resort is very spacious in a huge property. The design resembles traditional Kerala architecture with modern facilities. It's a must visit property. They gave us an awesome breakfast. Value for money deal with them.

Loved the stay. The balcony was neat, clean, proper sunlight and shed, and view. Bathroom was sanitised, proper soap clean towels bedsheets were provided. Extra bed also was provided with bed and not just a mattress, toilet paper rolls too. Everything was good. A must try stay option.

It was very nice and comfortable. The hotel is very close to beach with many facilities. You can trust this place with full heart. Staffs are excellent except Manager. He has serious manner issue and he hasn’t invited anyone of the guests whenever I see him in reception. Dude thinks that he is Peaky blinder or some celebrity figure😎

Fantastic hotel and staff, I want to mention: Praveen, the general manager, made the time to come and speak to us , very professional! Suralal, Adarsh and Deepu, the front office team, what can we say, these 3 were amazing, helpful, nothing was too much trouble...and kept in supply if many cups of coffee! Vishnu, Kavitha and Prashant, the housekeeping team, excellent service, room was spotless every day, and the towel art was fantastic, Lovely surprises! Sunil, the chef...it was like having our own private chef, the dishes he cooked for us were out of this world, the flavours were amazing something deliciously different every day! And thanks to Ambili and Kishnar Kutty, the kitchen team, their help with the dishes and the service they gave was impeccable. Thanks to Raju (day) and Mohan (night), the guards, very attentive and always a wave and a big smile. Finally Kilson and Anil, the maintenance team, always on hand to help with any problems. Thank you all, you should all be so proud of yourselves, the hotels reputation only has you all to thank.

NNatalie LI’ll start by saying that we only booked this guesthouse as it was pretty much the only one available for our dates in Varkala that seemed well located and wasn’t a hostel in a dorm room (we are a married couple in our 30s and are passed the days of sleeping in a dorm bunk bed!). BIG MISTAKE! Following 7 weeks of travel in India and staying in almost 20 different guesthouses and homestays, this was by far the worst! One of the most expensive out of all the properties we stayed in and by far the worst in terms of facilities, value for money and management. Where to begin… 1. Frequent power cuts on our first day turning the lights and AC off in the room 2. We stayed in two rooms (one AC and one fan). Almost none of the plug sockets worked in either room with the exception of one 3. The shower was practically pointless and the water came out in a tiny trickle in both rooms. Not very practical for showering. We used the bucket for showering (which we have done many times in India, but not expected here considering it cost 2-3x more than other properties we stayed at in India). It’s also a wet room (common in India), but no mop/brush to push all the excess water into the drain (we had this in majority of our other guesthouses) so you’re walking into a soaking wet bathroom every time you enter 4. The rooms didn’t feel 100% clean - we were walking on sand before we even went to the beach and even felt sand in the bed! 5. Speaking of the bed, this was rock hard and super uncomfortable 6. We shared our AC room with 4/5 geckos each night. We are ok with nature and insects so this wasn’t a huge deal for us but just FYI incase you are not. There are vents in the room that allow insects in easily, despite them having some sort of sellotape over them to try and prevent this 7. There was construction work happening (either the property itself or next door). When in the AC room we were woken up quite early each morning with loud banging and drilling practically outside our window. The workmen also left their tools on our balcony 8. We were interested in doing the cooking class offered but were told that this was not available because the owner Suresh was too busy at his other property in Varkala (it’s called Gypsy Walker so will assume is also poor quality). Just as well, wouldn’t have wanted to have given another penny to this property! 9. The property requests that shoes are taken off before entry and left on the designated shoe rack. Respectful of the property’s policies and Indian culture we did just that. On the last day, one of our pairs of shoes was stolen from the rack. We know this happened that day as they were there late morning when we went out but not the evening when we returned to get them. When we informed Suresh of the issue, he was incredibly rude, shouting abuse at us down the phone and accused us of lying to get compensation out of him - incredibly insulting to say the least. We were told that no one has access to the property

GGuest UserThe front desk staff member I encountered was exceptionally rude and unprofessional. When I inquired about why the extra bed provided during this stay did not come with a bed frame as it had during my previous stay just five nights ago, his response was dismissive and unhelpful. He said, ”You should ask the housekeeping, not me.” via telephone. If this is the standard of hospitality your hotel upholds, I see no reason to return. Furthermore, the subsequent explanation provided by the same staff member was equally unacceptable. He stated, ”We said extra bed, not frame,” and informed me that the extra bed would be placed on the floor. This was only communicated after we had settled into our room, not at check-in. It appears that your hotel has a limited number of bed frames for extra beds and had run out, despite my booking being made a month in advance. This situation could have been handled much more professionally. If the lack of bed frames had been communicated at check-in with a simple, ”We apologise, but we have run out of bed frames,” it would have been understandable. However, the rude attitude and lack of basic courtesy from your front desk staff are inexcusable. Proper communication and a respectful demeanour are fundamental in the hospitality industry, and this experience has left me extremely disappointed.

Situated just steps away from the pristine shores of Kovalam Beach, the location couldn't have been more perfect. The homely food served here was a culinary delight, offering a taste of authentic Kerala cuisine. Clean and well-appointed rooms provided a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing. I can't wait to return to Kovalam Beach Hotel for another memorable stay!

GGuest UserThe welcome was not ageable. While they handed us the room, they invited us to have a drink in the hotel restaurant, we asked if smoking was allowed and they told us there was no problem. Another English guest sitting at the other end of the restaurant got up and complained about the bad taste of the tobacco. A blonde lady (not Indian) came and asked us to go outside, later we discovered that she was the owner but she never introduced herself, she welcomed us, she never even said good morning and she was never interested in how the stay was. The rooms are nice and clean mini villas but the mattress is so hard that you prefer to sleep on the floor. The restaurant food is good, the restaurant service when they are not on the cell phone are friendly. It is close to the cliff but the roads to get there are very narrow and full of mud. They don't have lighting so you have to use your cell phone flashlight. The general space of the villas is nice but it lacks maintenance. There are ***y cheaper accommodation options on the cliff that I think may be a better option.

My 2 week stay at the Ayurvedic resort was simply excellent, from arrival at the airport till departure. The staff, service, food, treatment, ayurvedic massage are all top notch. I examined the local Ayurvedic centers and want to mention that there were centers with a higher level of accomodations, but Ideal Ayurvedic Resort corresponds to the price and quality. After two weeks of treatment, my general condition and mood noticeably improved, excess weight was noticeably gone, my skin condition were restored. I left with the intention of returning to this place again... Thank you for helping me to discover India at its best!!! Special thanks to Dineesh the ***ager, Vineeth restaurant admin, Jinu driver, Kavita massage therapist. My best wishes all of you in the New Year!

The hotel is located in the centraI Trivandrum which is the older part of the city on the main road. The Trivendrum Central Railway Station is right accross the road and Thampanoor Bus stand is adjacent to the hotel. Yet the road is remarkably congestion-free and quite. You won't hear street noise in your room. This part of the city is very well connected to all other parts of the city. The drive to hotel from airport took around 45 minutes. Please remember that Uber & Ola are available in three or four large cities of the state. The checkin was fast and we had to wait for around 15 minutes before we were ushered into our room. We stayed from 30th May to 1st June in superior room at fourth floor . It contains a sitting room and a bed room. The rooms are spacious and have all amenities. The laundry service is fast and reasonably priced. Though there is definitely a huge language barrier, the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and house keeping is good. A small private parking is available. The food quality and the buffet breakfast spread are average. A quicker response to service requests is desired. The location is top notch. Most of the tourist place like Napier Museum, Zoo, Aquarium, Art Gallery, Kanakakunnu Palace, Science and Technology Museum, Planetarium etc. are within 5 km. The temple of Padmanabhanswami is around 1 km away. If you want to eat out try Aryaas Park (veg) 50 m and Azad Hotel 500 m away. One can go to Pothy Textile 500 m away for shopping clothes.

GGuest UserThere is nothing good to write about the hotel except its location. The quality of room needs huge attention by the ***agement. Dirt is easily visible at various corners of the room. It seems as if no one ever pays attention to cleanliness of the rooms. Coming to the room service, it seems no training is provided to the staff! When ordering food for in-room dining, how can your staff bring the Roti or any Indian breads without it being wrapped in aluminum foil or in any container? They serve it without covering it with anything. I have never seen any hotel serve food like this. Coming to the swimming pool timing. The hotel has the worst timing for its swimming pool. One cannot swim after 6pm and before 11am. They expect people to swim when it is scorching hot. People visit resort for leisure, but they do not allow them because of some weird reasons. How do you expect small children to swim when it is so hot? Very disappointed. I raised the complaint to the front desk, but their response was rude and highly disappointing. Talking of the breakfast, it seems they are doing a favor to their clients by providing such kind of menu which has hardly anything to eat.
