"A new hotel with excellent location. It’s just next to the shopping streets with lots of restaurants & souvenir shops. Got amenities such as bath salt, tea bags, drip coffee & cleansing oil/ lotion at hotel lobby for you to pick up. The restaurant where you take breakfast commands a stunning panoramic view. Will stay here again."

"Was upgraded from single bed to a large room with a sea view. It has a little balcony and was a great value. I could tell meals in the restaurant would be fabulous but too expensive for me. There are outdoor hot and warm pools but you have to change in your room and although there is a sort of back way in, it is not completely private as some rooms look down on it so may be expected to wear swimwear. The swimming pool is closed except for July and August."

"Huge bath tub within the room. Slightly bigger room than japan's average because of that but living area is smaller as a result. There is a sofa in this room but that takes up the space for luggage. Overall pretty good. Just opppsite the jr station with underground access. Sakurajima was covered by clouds when I was there."

"There has air conditioner which was cool enough , good! only the drawback is some far away to take 20 minutes to JR station but very near the walking street. Bath room a bit of narrow. Appreciated even though medium size hotel but it has car packing lot itself ( located on the hotel's back street with staff to assist you ), so great indeed !"

"It was a wonderful stay. The hotel management was excellent, and the room was in great condition. I want to give a special mention to Miss Gotanda 五反田, who guided me after check-in. Her detailed explanations and warm smile set a positive tone even before I checked in. The hotel's hot spring overlooks Sakurajima volcano, enjoy hot spring while watching the sunrise was a truly delightful experience. I will definitely come back again next time."

"Clean room, nice beddings and good space appreciated. Hospitality and service was minimal to non existent and breakfast was outright poor. Which hotel in the world would give hotdogs (occupying two choices out of three) to guests as breakfast (not free). The other option is the unappetising granola yoghurt, or in takeaway boxes. Overall, I think there was the property was overpriced and remember not to choose the breakfast option!"

"I like this hotel. I've stayed here for 2 times. They provide a free transfer from and to Railway station and a city centre. Very good onsen with a scenic view on Sakurajima. You can also rent a bike here in the hotel for a reasonable price. Convenience store is right by the hotel."

"Modern hotel with lobby on the 3rd floor. Well located next to the Tenmonkan shopping district and 3 tram stops from Kagoshima Train Station. Breakfast is at Tully's next door with 3 options to choose from. There is a car park behind the hotel but rates are expensive but comparable to the carparks in the area. Hotel rate is capped at 1500yen for parking from 2pm to 12am."

MMisafir KullanıcıThe location is superb, room was clean, spacious and with a nice balcony. The room provided all you need on a leisure trip. The only downside was it was super complicated and time consuming to contact the hostel for entrance pin, check-in procedure and check-in number. We asked the front desk receptionist of our previous hotel to call the hostel number stated on trip.com booking confirmation email in morning, but no one picked up; called again at 3pm, and the hostel hotline said the number was wrong and referred us to call another number. If we did not have the assistance from a Japanese local receptionist from another hotel, I dont think we could get the entrance pin and check-in procedure information smoothly. I recommend this hostel to Japanese local, or tourists with a Japanese mobile number to make calls/able to find assistance from Japanese local people.

WWK3112The room and the bed were a bit small for us, but the in room bathtub at the terrace was a plus and a rare find at this price. However, there was constantly some smell in the bathroom (probably due to the shower curtain being always damp) and you could see dust visibly accumulated and stains on the wall next to the bed.

MMisafir KullanıcıWould definitely stay at Nanshukan again! It is a business type hotel offering all the basics. Great fir solo travelers, couples etc. the room was spacious and clean. It is centrally located so it’s within walking distance of several sightseeing spots! The ferry terminal to Sakurajima is about a fifteen minute walk! The airport bus stop is about ten minutes . But fir me the breakfast was amazing. You can choose between WASHOKU( Japanese style) or YOSHOKU( western style). I chose the washoku and it was an amazing assortment of little breakfast goodies with hot miso soup and black pork shabu shabu , too! Great way to start s day! Come and enjoy a night or two at Nanshukan!

MMisafir KullanıcıI loved staying here!! It had such a great communal vibe to it. One of my favorite memories from traveling Japan is sitting at the low tables in the common area, eating a convenience store dinner and watching baseball on the tv. I was only there 3 nights but it felt like it would’ve been an easy place to settle into for a longer stay. There was a fridge and kitchen, two showers & toilets, laundry, luggage storage, lockers, etc. Very close to the train station. Rooms were clean, I felt like the staff did a great job on the upkeep. I would definitely recommend you stay here. The only thing to be aware of is that the mattresses are really thin so the sleeping surface feels really hard.

Mmu～chan～非常乾淨，氛圍感超好； 一樓是咖啡，2樓是混合宿舍，三樓是女性專用宿舍，設施完備（小廚房、洗衣房），房間也比較大。而且離JR鹿兒島，走路也就5分鐘，非常方便。 但請注意CHECK IN時間，因為不是酒店，而是民宿，所以工作人員衹待到晚上7點，來 辦理入住手續一定要在可以的時間段內。

KK Hoffman (Canada)Nice kitchen. Also washing machine and dryer.. Have to take a bus from Kagoshimachuo station and then walk 10 mins to the hostel. However, it's 10 mind walk to the main shopping area and restaurants.
