I'm only now writing up our trip to Laos in April 2017 (!) and need to write about the Eco Lodge outside Vang Vieng. We stayed at Pi Mai Lao. It was a magical experience away from the new year madness. Clean rooms, on the river... great food in the riverside indoor/outdoor dining room. Stunningly beautiful location and really helpful owner and friendly staff. We rented bikes to begin with but then took a tiny motorbike and went exploring. It was a major highlight of our trip and I wish we had stayed longer but we couldn't. Two nights and days of heaven in the mountains.

Vangvieng, Laos, a resort hidden in the mountains and forests, Laos Jin Champa Garden Resort, is well-deserved, the air is very good, the environment is very beautiful, it can be seen that the boss’s aesthetics is first-rate, I heard that it was invested by a boss from Jiangsu, there are The Chinese staff, don’t worry about the language barrier, also recommended hot air balloons, paragliders and off-road vehicles. You can help call a tuk-tuk and it's very convenient to go to town. The service was excellent. Had a great time. It was an experience that I still couldn’t get enough of, and I want to come again with my family.

A single-family villa with a large lawn, one bedroom, one living room and one bathroom, breakfast included, very cost-effective. The proprietress is Chinese, very enthusiastic and has attentive service. There is a buffet and song and dance performances in the restaurant in the evening. It is 700 meters away from the train station. It is in a remote location and far from the center of Vang Vieng. The transportation is not very convenient.

I stayed in this hotel for three nights in Vang Vieng. The room was relatively spacious, the location was right by the river, and the environment and facilities were very good. Although it is more than ten minutes' walk from the busiest neighborhood, the hotel will proactively and enthusiastically send a car to pick you up. I usually take the hotel to the central area, go to eat and then stroll back to the hotel. If you go out for various activities, the relevant companies will send cars to pick you up, which is very convenient. The hotel also has a unique advantage. The hot air balloons are released right next to the farmland. The hot air balloons fly overhead in the morning and evening, which is a very special feeling. I may go to Laos again in the future and choose to stay in this hotel. The Chinese owners of the hotel are very down-to-earth and easy to communicate with. They are like waiters themselves and will try their best to help you if you need anything.
