The location is very good. Suitable for party line In front of the hotel by the sea there is a restaurant, a pub and a bar. (The night may be noisy for rooms in the zone near the restaurant) The hotel itself has a okay service to a certain extent. Cleanliness in the room like a maid is still not done well. The floor is still oily and not very clean and in the room The wet zone water has no place to put soap, shampoo, breakfast is good.

Returned to Koh Samed again two years since Covid pandemic.The island resorts and businesses have been totally decimated by Covid.I stayed Vongduean beach and apart from a few Thais there was absolutely nobody there.I felt so sorry for the locals as they’ve had hardly any business for two years. On previous visits I’ve stayed in the beach bungalows but over BT3000 a night I stayed in the newer block of rooms overlooking the pool.Surprised they’ve kept the same prices as most hotels seem to be about 50% cheaper than normal due to lack of customers. The beach and the sea are wonderful with crisp white sand and azure coloured clear sea. As the resort is very quiet there we’re just a few staff.Breakfast is the usual egg station,fruit,bacon,sausage,Thai porridge plus tea and coffee set overlooking the sea. It’s a fantastic place for couples or family holidays but in my opinion the prices are far to high at present. NB To gain access to ferry/speedboat crossing to Koh Samed a negative Antigen test is required which you will be taken by side car from ferry port to local clinic takes about 20 minutes before you’re allowed to cross to Koh Samed. Overall beautiful island an hours taxi ride from Pattaya but rooms far too expensive.

Sai Kaew Hotel has been staying for many times. Every time I come, I have never closed the palace. Whether it's service, the staff are polite and well-mannered. The room is spacious, clean, and the facilities in the room are also provided. Unfortunately, it's convenient to travel anywhere, whether going to 7/11 or going to a restaurant, very convenient, especially the hotel on the beach, so walking down from the room and reaching the beach front this time, bring the kids, the kids like it very much. Great place to stay , close to Sai Keaw Beach ( walkable) surrounded with 7-11, others Thai massages , downstairs is the restaurant so everything is in your reach. The Room is clean and the hot water is also working well, facilities in hotel are good and suitable for price Air-con was working well not noisy Staffs are friendly and supportive The room are upstairs with glass doors-sliding Cozy and nice to stay after enjoy all the beaches Recommend 👍🏻

had an absolutely lovely time staying at this hotel albeit the fact it’s 20-mins walk from the pier and another added 10-min walk to the beach area. but this made me make full use of enjoying the room, pool, and some of the bar’s food, and doing nothing and be in the moment love the studio room for it’s size- felt like home away from home. had a beautiful view overlooking the pool as well. only downside is that somehow mosquitoes manage to enter the room even though windows and doors are closed! but they are easy to kill so it’s okay. staff are friendly; will come back to stay again if i ever return!

The Samed Villa Resort must not be mistaken with the Samet Ville Resort. The latter is not the slightest in the same class as the Villa Resort. The renovated double bungalows are of the highest standards. Especially the bathrooms are of Swiss quality. The staff is very friendly, understands and speaks mostly English and is quick to serve any requests. The breakfast buffet has a lot of western dishes. The restaurant in general is delicious and not pricey at all. There are great options for lunch and dinner also nearby. There is a spa on the premises but also outdoor massage places under the trees on the sea side.

First, I chose Koh Samet because I asked a local Thailand friend which island has not been overdeveloped since my early days coming to Thailand in the 1990s. His response was ”head to Koh Samet”. I looked for a value hotel on one of the more southern, less developed beaches which led me to Wong Duean Bay and the Vongdeuan Resort. The pool was a big draw. With the low tide being pretty extreme, it is really nice to have the salt water pool to cool off in and swim laps. The food seemed pretty authentic to me. With mainly Thai visitors coming in on the weekends it figures the food would be good at the Vongdeuan Resort. :) The staff were wonderful and always so fun to share a story or two with. The beach area all along the bay was extremely clean with no plastic on the beach or garbage in the water. This is a big plus when going to the shore in SE Asian countries. There are several beach restaurants but none of them had loud music, at least during the weekdays when I was there. It is definitely a sleepy and peaceful place to enjoy the water at high tide as well as the white sand beach for walks.
