This hotel is definitively a must do for those who are cruising. As the town area of Colon is deemed a bit dangerous for tourists by pretty much everyone who lives in Panama. The room are pretty decent with very comfy beds and very good pillows. We were upgraded to a suite as the rooms we requested were not available and was happy to enjoy a double bathroom, single room with TV room suite. They also gave us a rollover bed to accommodate the 3 of us (all adults). The room had a very good view of the terminal where we could see the cruise ships being docked. The hotel also features a restaurant/buffet as well as free shuttle to the cruise terminals. The hotel also has a convenient backdoor that requires hotel room keys to open to get to the small mall behind it. Which leads to a supermarket, a few stores and 3 restaurants, including a subway. Note that UBER HAS NO SERVICE IN COLON. So plan accordingly and use recommended taxis!

Soy cliente multirepitente El hotel muy bueno de 5 estrella la única queja que tenemos es con el mal trato de la Gerente de recepción la Señora de espejuelos que es la jefa ya que sus malos tratos hacia nosotros han sido reiterativos somos Cubanos y vamos 2 y 3 veces en el mes, es cierto que nos llamó la atención la primera vez y de ahí para acá no nos hemos portado mal ni hemos violado el reglamento del hotel pero su mala cara y su mal trato nos ha llevado al extremo de no querer regresar, por ejemplo en el mes de enero dormimos 4 noches en una habitación en el 4to piso con problema en el aire acondicionado dicho problema certificado por el de mantenimiento del hotel a las 12 de la madrugada y no nos cambiamos por qué estábamos cansado al extremo, en la mañana siguiente salimos temprano a una reunión apurados cuando regresamos planteamos el cambio y nos dijo que no por qué no le dio la gana dormimos empapados en sudor,nuestro grupo encantado con todo el personal del hotel dígase recepción personal del Restauran muy atentos, camarera personal de seguridad ect y muy disgustados con esta señora que lo mejor sería de nos dijera de frente que no nos quiere más en el hotel como una más de sus amenazas espero que esta señora cambie el trato con los Cubanos o con nosotros eso esperamos y queremos seguir viéndola a usted ahí pero con mejor trato en un final usted sabe que no somos malo no es verdad ?

While it is clear that the Resort is not what is was in some parts, I’m sure they suffered a lot during the pandemic, it’s still a beautiful place and I would still visit. One review says, ‘Stay 1 night’. I would agree. Although we ended up staying two! The main resort areas- lobby, pool, restaurant - are still well presented, although poolside bar was out of use. They were painting around the pool while we were there. The staff were very friendly at checkin and in the restaurant. We struggled a little bit to get clear information on the tours but, this was rectified by going down to the Tour Center and speaking to Rosa directly. We did the aerial tram, the sloth sanctuary, a boat ride on the lake and the mountain biking track. All were great. There were no guided treks when we were there so we just followed the trails on our own- Sendero Laguna, Sendera Chunga and Sendero El Dique. I hope they open guided treks soon. The breakfast was awesome. We ate the buffet dinner both nights and enjoyed it each time. The choice was limited as there were few guests the second night but it was still great. It’s still definitely worth a visit.

This hotel I have recommended to a friend of mine. I am happy my friend was satisfied. I think the price is good and the area. If you want to save money and still be in the city I believe this place is good for the price. It is very clean They have a friday next door. It is very close by from Albrook and Dorado Mall It is very easy to get an uber or taxi. You can even walks to coffee stores and some restaurant.
