Schoolhouse Hotel

Best breakfast ever! Hotel staff helpful and wecoming. Arranged for taxi when checking out. Perfect location: quiet, attractive neighborhood but close to Grand Canal Docks as well as shops and restaurants in town. A very nice restaurant and pub on site where we had dinner every night

Beautiful structure. Very nice room, large and confortable. Spacious bathroom in room with big shower cabin. There is a very nice restaurant whit excellent food open for lunch and dinner. All the staff are kind and friendly. There is a court for parking.

Easy to find it sits by the canal and St Stephen’s Green is within walking distance (20 mins) which also gives you access to the main visitor areas in Dublin. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were nice. My only complaint was the pillows were so hard and no matter how I tried I could not get comfortable.

Stayed at hotel for a week in the month of April. My daughters wedding reception was held in the Blue Room . All of our guests complimented us on the choice of venue and the standard of the wedding meal . We cannot Thank the staff enough for going above and beyond for making our stay and the wedding reception a truly memorable occasion.The blue room was ideal for a smaller wedding with an intimate and warm ambience. The gardens were ideal for wedding photography with the canal very near for additional wedding photographs. Whilst we are grateful to all members of staff for their welcome and professionalism we would like to give a special thank you to Blaithnaid not only for the wedding day but for her invaluable support and advice throughout the week.

Lovely boutique hotel with stylish rooms and very friendly staff. Good location for exploring Dublin’s town centre. The hop on hop off bus service stops within a 10 minute walk from the hotel and the air coach from the airport stops outside the hotel.

We stay here for a couple nights and loved it. The staff is both friendly and helpful. Many of the main sites to see are within easy walking distance. We also enjoyed breakfast and two delicious dinners at the onsite gastropub. It is clearly a popular local hangout, so make reservations for dinner.

The hotel room was fabulous and we had a lovely evening in the bar .However,I stupidly left behind my phone charger and an outfit in the wardrobe !!!! My charger and the skirt from the outfit were returned to me .I phoned many many times explaining that my expensive top and matching cardigan were hanging together with the skirt ,in the wardrobe .I instantly got a different tone from the manager on the phone and she pointed out to me that I should be careful with my accusations .I explained to her that I was more frustrated with myself for leaving them behind and although I was very grateful that my charger and skirt were returned ,it just did not make sense that the other two items were not found .Many phone calls and also an email with a photo of the two items to help staff locate them were made . I was shocked and saddened during each phone call at the lack of understanding on the part of the hotel that I was now missing two items that were part of an outfit .At no point was I offered any explanation as to why the items didn't turn up ,even though I was told the room was not occupied the night after my stay .At no point was I offered any compensation . The whole experience was very very disappointing. Maria

Very cute hotel with historical character - as well as modern updates to the room (newer bathroom fixtures, USB chargers for room etc). Had a room with two twin beds for a friends trip and there was space for both our suitcases etc. location was great - a quiet part of town and a nice 15 min walk to City Center / Trinity College. The continental breakfast was great and the attached Gastropub was also great (brunch right after arrival and dinner one night )

The Schoolhouse hosted our wedding reception dinner last week and it really was the most incredible experience. We honestly could not have received better service. The staff were incredibly accommodating and the food was absolutely delicious. The building is so beautiful and the blue room really is a perfect size for an intimate wedding. Every single one of our guests expressed how much they loved it. We are beyond thrilled to have chosen the Schoolhouse. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making our wedding so memorable.
