My family and I chose to spend a night in a hotel due to our air conditioner breaking. We chose to stay in this hotel vs others that we are rewards members because their website stated that both their indoor pool and their hot breakfast buffet were open (both basically a must when you have 2 kids and was LITERALLY my search criteria). Upon checking in, I'm met with a SIGN stating that the pool is closed. The breakfast buffet is closed and that they are offering bagged Togo breakfasts in mornings. I told the clerk I didn't want to stay because their website didn't reflect this and was told he had already completed my check in and would not be able to do a refund, so we decided to stay after paying the money. Through the night we had a neighbor on the floor that kept playing music loudly and was in and out of the room slamming doors and would wake our youngest up. I went downstairs to complain after the 3rd time and it was 2am. The night clerk was nice and apologetic, but just wrote down the problem and said she would give it to the manager the following day (did me no good that night). The beds werent equipped with the right amount of pillows and werent very comfortable. Needless to say I slept all of maybe an hour. I was so upset by it all I got my family up at 6am, packed our things and went to check out. Upon checkout (which was about 7:30am), the night clerk from before was having an issue with the person in front of me and I formed me that if I had a deposit I had to wait. We waited 20 min while she had the miscommunication with the person in front of me trying to stay another night. When I got up there to check out, she said oh, you paid with a card you are good. I asked about the bagged breakfast and she said oh yeah those, and didn't have them ready as it stated they should be on the signage.

I had a poor experience at the Sheraton in Novi while staying with a family member to celebrate a belated Christmas as we weren't able to get together around Christmas proper. While I was upgraded to a room on the club lounge floor, the guest room I received was not clean by any definition of clean. There was hair on the desk and desk chair, hair on the toilet, hair under the toilet seat, hair on the wrapped bar of soap and soap dish, stains on the desk, and stains on the face tissue container. The single bathrobe hanging in the closet appeared to have been previously worn and didn't have a cincture. On my reservation I specifically requested only 100% feather pillows. My reservation also requested a bathrobe, slippers, extra pillows and extra towels. I didn't receive any of those things. The four pillows were four polyester down-alternative pillows. Those pillows are horrible. They always feel like someone stuffed cotton balls in a pillowcase. During check-in I noticed a sign at the front desk saying daily housekeeping is not provided, unless specially requested. The major cleanliness issues that I experienced are a direct result of what happens when hotels don't clean rooms and other spaces each and every day. I received zero Marriott Bonvoy elite status recognition. Specifically, I was not offered the choice at check-in of breakfast in the restaurant, an amenity or points. I complained to the general manager, who to his credit acknowledged the lack of cleanliness was unacceptable, fully apologized and took responsibility. To resolve the issue, he offered to comp my stay and ensure that the room was thoroughly cleaned while we were out of the room and off-property at a nearby shopping mall. He also apologized for the lack of Bonvoy recognition and provided the $100 cash compensation that is required by Marriott for not offering guest with platinum or higher Bonvoy status the choice at check-in of breakfast in the restaurant, an amenity or points. When we returned, the room was properly cleaned. The pillows were replaced with feather pillows, although none of the feather pillows had pillow protectors or pillowcase liners. Two clean bathrobes and two pairs of slippers were placed in the closet. The general manager was also kind enough to leave a bottle of wine in the room. My family member was really appreciative of that gesture. Despite the issues, the staff that I encountered throughout the stay were polite, welcoming and hospitable. That aside, there was zero excuse for the cleanliness issues or the lack of attention to what was specified on the reservation The club lounge was open with an average evening offering that included a selection of assorted cheeses, crackers, grapes, fruit and some basic canapés. Besides free nonalcoholic drinks, an honor bar featured cheap house wine ($5 retail bottles of wine) selling for $5 a glass. The club lounge is a nice smaller space. I recently stayed here due to power outages in the area. I expected a decent stay since this property is fairly new. However, in this age of COVID, our room wasn't clean. The shower pan was dirty and stained and there was hair at the bottom. There was also visible dirt and hair in the sink as well as on a towel. We called down to get the bathroom clean (knowing they were sold out so no other rooms) and were just referred to a voicemail for the manager. Not one person offered to come up with a disinfectant or anything. Aside from the lack of cleanliness, the hotel had shotty construction. There are switches that don't work, the lights flickered and there were cracks in walls. There is also no sound barrier between the floors so we had to hear the people bouncing around all night which is something I expect from a cheaper place. There were signs that stated no smoking but you could smell it coming off the elevator....The only positive was the included hot and cold breakfast but I won't stay or recommend this place for someone to stay again. Overall, disappointed.

Overall, the hotel is clean and well maintained. However When we arrived to check in, our room was not ready until around 3:25 PM which was very disappointing, as we were very tired from driving long hours. During the night, the cleaning guy at the lobby was very noisy, speaking loudly on his phone speaker, while we were trying to relax and have coffee, thus we left the whole lobby for him and went to our rooms.

Hotel is OK, there is a Wal-Mart supermarket nearby, the price is also cheap

The night staff was absolutely amazing. Coming in with a team of young men for a regatta. Not realizing there was not much of a lobby for guests to bring in food to sit and feed 20 hungry boys. Amli and his team where super helpful and it was very much appreciate. Kindness and professionalism was all night from check in to the bar attendant. Our room was clean and no issues. Same as the hallways- we are grateful.

The hotel is very good, the room is more comfortable than the 4 stars I stayed in California, the decoration is very new, all the supporting facilities are very good, the restaurant downstairs, the breakfast is very rich, the fruit is very fresh, and the parking is convenient.

The hotel is incredibly clean all over, but I have to give a shout out to two employees that impacted my stay. I witnessed Kim de-escalate a situation with a guest in such a professional manner that it should be applauded. After operating our company business out of their meeting room, I encountered a man willing to work the night shift. His name is Raymone, he had kind eyes and a level of hospitality that should be recognized. The rooms are of good size, the beds are comfortable, and the overall experience at this hotel should be acknowledged. Thank you guys. Keep up the good work.

Upon walking into this hotel, we liked what we saw. The lobby area was nice and inviting.The room was nice and clean. We Loved having a fridge and a microwave. The ammenities were nice. The bed was very comfortable. We didn't use the pool or exercise area. We arrived later in the evening and checked out before breakfast even began. Can I just say tho......AMBER! She was absolutely amazing. She greeted us with a smile and a great attitude which we needed after what we had gone thru at our previous hotel. What a breath of fresh air. We chatted on and on while we checked in. I cannot say enough about how wonderful she was. When we had come down to the lobby shortly after checking in she was mopping the floor and I must say she was happily doing it. She always had a smile on her face. Hotels need more GSA like her. You have a real gem on your hands there. We just loved her.
