My boyfriend and I visited here in July 2022, it is by far one of the best holidays we have had. Croatia is a beautiful country and I would definitely recommend to everyone! This hotel is a lovely place to stay, very clean and the staff are always friendly especially at reception and in the pool bar. The rooms are spacious and clean. We had a great balcony with a view of the sea. There is a mini bar in the fridge that is restocked daily and you are provided with a receipt of what you have spent each day for you to pay at reception at the end of your stay. There are two pools next to eachother with plenty of sun beds available, we arrived on our first day at 12pm and were able to get a bed. We never went down earlier than 9:30am to get a bed. The pools are clean, music quietly playing around them and aqua aerobics. The breakfast has a large choice of pastries, pancakes, fruit, cooked food, etc. We didn’t eat in the hotel restaurant in the evening as were out and about in the resort trying the other restaurants and cocktail bars (great location!!) The pool bar is great for lunch. We ate here most days as it is reasonably priced and the service is quick. We didn’t stay in the hotel for the entertainment in the evening but most nights out of the 7 we were there they had entertainment on a big stage on the beach. This was different each time and always a good watch. The best was a fireworks show out on the water! Would 100% return to this hotel in the future.

Arrived here a few days ago. A fairly simple 40-45 drive from Pula Airport (toll roads). Check in was fast & efficient. We were upgraded which was a surprise & a very welcome one! The room is fantastic. It’s more of an apartment than a hotel room with spacious rooms, amazing views & well equipped. The first thing that struck me was how modern the apartment is but also how clean it was. Absolutely spotless. The room has a free safe, a TV with a few English/American channels. Fridge freezer, microwave, coffee machine & an abundance of storage! Everything you need for a weeks holiday is provided & we’ve not had to ask for anything since our arrival. If you hire a car there is parking outside every room so no need to worry about leaving your car anywhere. The pool area is large, clean & plenty of Sun loungers (no need for getting up early & reserving beds). The grounds are immaculate. With sea & harbour views almost everywhere. A small pebble beach is available for guests with calm, safe waters. We are half board & the food is really very good. So much choice, cooked fresh at the time of service & tasty. I will say if you’re looking for nuggets & chips etc you’ll be disappointed. Not a chip in sight. But plenty of alternatives & there is fresh pizza every night! The staff are very friendly. The hotel is in a great location just a 5 minute walk into the small harbour town centre of Vrsar which has a small but good selection of restaurants, bars & shops inc. a small supermarket. I desperately want to give this hotel a top score but unfortunately just a couple of very minor criticisms stop me from doing so. Firstly, the beds are a tad uncomfortable for me. I’m sure most people will be fine with them though. Secondly the hotel is very large spread out over a big area. There are quite a few steps & slopes to navigate which might be an issue for some people. There are actually outside escalators which are really welcome at times so don’t think it’s all leg tiring, it isn’t. Lastly I’d have personally liked a small gym. There is one available to guests at a charge in a neighbouring hotel but this isn’t convenient to me personally. Other than those few minor points this hotel is faultless and I will be coming back. One thing we have noticed which isn’t an issue for us, but Brits are very few & far between. If you’re looking to meet new people you may struggle a bit but that could be because it’s out of high season. This hotel is sold through TUI so height of summer might be different.

The Maistra Select Island Hotel in Istra is the best coaching holiday hotel I have ever experienced. The staff were very warm, friendly and super efficient, the rooms were exquisite with a balcony looking over the sea, the food was excellent - large numbers of people were catered for efficiently with a constant stream of freshly cooked eggs and bacon produced at breakfast. Dinner was equally good with every taste catered for and fresh coffee. beer and wine on tap. The bracelet system access to rooms, food, ferry to Rovinj, spa and bar bill is super efficient.

The rooms are clean and spacious, with oversized balconies. The hotel has a variety of facilities, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, saunas, gyms, SPA, etc., while looking at the sea and the forest, it is actually very suitable for a few days on vacation. We left for one night after visiting Rovinj and it was a pity

This place is amazing! There is so much to do for kids here but they have also thought of the adults too. Outdoors there are the multiple pools including a lazy river, a deeper pool where adults tend to go, a kids pool with slide and a shaded splash pool for toddlers. There are also multiple play areas outside, ping pong tables, volley ball net and large hotel grounds where you can use the scooters which can be hired for free from the kids area. Down at the beach they have a water sports centre, we hired a pedalo, kayak, paddle board and e-scooter and prices are reasonable. Indoors the blue net is amazing, there is a football table and the cinema has a floor projector so kids can play in there too. Cinema shows movies in different languages over the week and had 2 English movies whilst we were there. The game room was one of our favourite places to go, they have PC’s, switches, PS5’s and lots of games. The staff were always great in there (especially Borna) and over 8’s can get a pass to come and go on their own. We joined in with Mario kart tournaments, robot coding and remote control racing, there was lots of activities that can be booked. The kids club is great, it feels very secure and they have lots of activities only thing is they advertise certain activities but when we went they didn’t always do them. The room was great, enough space to live in and although we would have preferred a bath the shower was very powerful but tended to flood the floor. The peg board in the room kept us busy, great addition for kids to be amused whilst back at the room. Kettle and small tea station available in the room but no English tea included. Food wise they had a brilliant selection for every meal, we loved the smoothies that were freshly made at breakfast, the kids station provided chips, chicken nuggets etc and the food was of a great quality. We particularly loved the cat robot who would take your dirty plates away. The only issue we had as a family with allergies was that although they had signs out showing allergens they were not reliable. There would be signs missing, signs moved and signs not relating to the items there. We had some food that I would have guaranteed did not contain certain allergens but stated it did, there was items that did not state certain allergens but named them in the title of the food and some items would state allergens one day but the following day the same item would change signs and add or remove allergens. There was a sign stating to speak to staff regarding allergies which would have been good if it was a severe allergy but for many people this is not the case. The staff in the food area were so good, always clearing plates and cleaning tables. Drinks are available to buy but water, coke and juice were all free at meal times. Overall I would highly recommend this place, it’s an incredible experience for families.

The Hotel BO Palazzo is a classic and classy hotel, dating back almost 100 years with historic photographs hanging in the lobby. It was completely renovated not long ago, and is tasteful, elegant, and gracious with a yellow and white color scheme décor and large crystal chandeliers. It has a wonderful waterfront location at the corner end of the marina pier, with direct south and west facing sunset views, and is within very easy walking distance to the charming old town of Porec, the rest of town, and the parklike waterfront with shaded walking path, beaches, and beach bars & cafes. The suite in which we stayed was larger than my first two apartments after college – the photos on the website, as much as we pored over them to determine which room to prioritize to reserve, do not do this room or, presumably, any other rooms justice. The suite has solid burnished wood paneling, windows on three sides, a large balcony facing the water, a bedroom with a sliding wooden door, a large living area, a large formal dining area with a very large table, an office area, and two full baths. The lighting is chandeliers and chandelier sconses as well as lamps. It’s beautiful and is probably one of the nicest and most elegant rooms in which we’ve ever stayed. The only improvements would be to : 1. Add shade onto the balcony terrace via unbrellas (without a sun umbrella, you could really only go out there in early morning and late day; 2. Replace the jacuzzi tub in the en suite bathroom with a real walk in shower with a ceiling mounted showerhead and floor to ceiling glass doors. The tub is a nice idea but you cannot use it as a shower, so two people staying in the room lose the convenience and time saving benefit of the two full baths and cannot get ready simultaneously. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, with a broad scope of traditional Croatian and more English / American options – a good assortment of fruits, vegetables, and pastries; exceptional gluteny fresh breads; terrific melon; and well made tasty omelettes. The only non 5 star aspect is the juice wall dispenser. Seating is on the terrace by the water. Car parking is at the Isabella Valamar Hotel lot; the Hotel BO Palazzo picks you up and drops you off in a van; it’s a 8 minute or so ride. Parking is safe. The parking lot is near the large community athletic and fitness center; you can buy a short term pass and use the very good gym also. The Palazzo’s gym is not really usable except, perhaps, in the winter as it is on the ground floor, facing west, is very small, has just a few pieces of equipment, and is unbearably hot and humid as the glass windows and skylights suck in all the sun and the humidity of the pool piles on. I read the reviews before I came and the negatives are true, the food options are very repetitive, with lunch/dinner very similar, with little change throughout the week we were there. What was there was not really to our taste and the local coke or “cola” was pretty horrible. Getting a sun lounger was a challenge unless you saved one pre breakfast and not helped by people holding up to 6 and then not using them all day! What the recent reviews I read didn’t really cover though were the positives. The hotel is clean and the location is great. A very short walk to a beautiful bay and options to walk along the coast. Porec is a cycle ride away (free use of bikes for one trip) or there are boat or train options too. The free sports options are also great for keeping kids interested in sport entertained, There is a fairly large sports setup immediately outside the hotel which can be used free of charge, based on some limits I.e you get either 2 hours free per activity (per week or stay I am not sure) or 2 times 1 hours and that includes a quality Tennis club, and the less quality table tennis, crazy golf, bikes (3 hours), kayaking, pedalos, squash, bocce. It’s also within walking distance to a good waterpark and a good location for day trips to Venice or Pula. We didn’t see much of the entertainment, but there was a good Beatles tribute band one night followed by fireworks while we were there. When I booked the hotel it was one of the cheaper option and overall it worked really well for us. I would recommend the hotel, however, would warn people to have low expectations on the food front in particular.
