"30 Haziran-3 Temmuz 2025 tarihleri arasında geniş ailemizle birlikte konakladık. Odalar çok temiz ve yeniydi, kahvaltıda çok çeşit mevcuttu ve hepsi çok lezzetliydi . "1) The staff (housekeeping, restaurant, reception) are extremely decent people, and I believe the hotel gets its high ratings thanks to them. I think they are the ones who keep the hotel running. 2) However, there's a communication problem, specifically with Ms. Demet, whom we assume is the hotel owner/manager. Her demeanor is far from what you'd expect from a good manager. She acts as if the place is her own living room. I will explain the problems we encountered and Ms. Demet's approach. When I stayed in Ayvalık, the temperature was 38 degrees Celsius. First problem: The only common area in the hotel, the restaurant, has NO air conditioning. (It had one last year, but it broke down and isn't there this year). This is where you eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's a place by the water where ducks swim. (The restaurant is an enclosed area with sliding glass doors; in the mornings, you open the windows, and the air comes in because the sun hasn't turned). However, if you need to stay in the hotel (which I had to, as I needed to work with my laptop and spent 2-3 full days in the hotel), this restaurant area becomes hellishly hot in the afternoon. And I had to work there. Ms. Demet gave me absurd advice, like "open the windows for a draft" or "work in your room," which was out of line and treated me like a child. (After much effort and a bit of an argument with her, a table and chair were provided for me to work in my room). Second problem: One night, there was a very strong wind, and some systems/panels on the roof were damaged (which prevented hot water in the morning). When we checked out early in the morning, we didn't notice the lack of hot water in the room because we didn't shower. We came back from the sea at 8 PM, covered in salt water. Four female friends were staying in two separate rooms. We had no choice but to take a shower and had to struggle with cold water. And when Ms. Demet saw me at the reception, she made an inappropriate joke, saying, "The cold water seems to have done your hair good; it looks nice." In summary, if you own a hotel in a place like Ayvalık, having air conditioning in your restaurant and common areas is a must. Hot water is the most basic necessity in a hotel. If there's a breakdown at night, you do whatever it takes to find technical services on time the next day and get it repaired within the day. This kind of negligence is unacceptable and shouldn't happen. Hotel managers need to understand that the service industry isn't just about having money and opening a hotel. People come to these hotels for work or leisure during their limited time, and managers should undergo solid communication training. But I reiterate, the hotel staff – restaurant, reception, housekeeping – were all very sweet and lovely people."

"The hotel's location is excellent. There are many lovely places within walking distance for dinner. We used taxis to get to the beaches, which are a maximum of 20-25 minutes by car. Island taxis are also very popular for getting to these areas. We also had breakfast, and even the omelets were different every day. They don't always serve the same thing. We'd also like to thank Ms. Esra, who patiently answered all our questions during breakfast. I would definitely choose this hotel again :)"
