"The five-star hotel's facilities are subpar, and the service is even more annoying. I booked a room with breakfast and dinner included, but the meals were terrible on the first day and I basically skipped them on the second. The hot spring bath in the room made me itch after soaking. When I checked out, I asked the waiter to help with my luggage, but no one was there. I struggled to get my suitcase out myself. When I checked out, I told the waiter I had forgotten my room card in the room and had to go back to get it. It was a terrible stay."

"The service of the hotel was terrible! We’ve arrive early in the morning and would like to drop off our luggage and confirm the time for dinner and breakfast for the other morning, the reception told us it’s check out time, we can confirm the time when we come back, we told the reception we’ll be back late and want to confirm now cause if we back late and there would be no slot for us to choose but we still got rejected. We arrived arrived around 6pm and check in , the other reception told us either dinner and breakfast time slot are full, we can only take what they arrange! Which really pissed us off! And there’s no facility at all, no shuttle bus ! Will never stay in this hotel again !"

"This hotel was so bad it compelled me to write my very first review. I arrived at night with heavy luggage, only to find there was no elevator. The moment I stepped into the room, I was hit with a damp, moldy smell – I felt like I was going to grow spores in my nose if I took another breath. The entire hotel's facilities were old and run-down, and there were even cockroaches in the bathroom! Plus, there was an unidentifiable liquid on the pillows, and the soundproofing was terrible. I only stayed one night and didn't even bother with the other two nights I'd booked; I just left. In short, it was awful. Don't come here."

"This is a gorgeous hotel! We spent two nights here in April 2026. When we booked, we opted for the package with breakfast and dinner. Definitely the way to go! Every meal was delicious and plentiful! We had fantastic risotto, local fish, and desserts that were works of art. We loved the private onsen on our balcony and the spectacular views down to Lake Ashi. The staff was professional, responsive, and as we knew very little Japanese, very patient with our limited language skills. The hotel has a shuttle van to Odawara Station, which works perfectly. Be sure to book it in advance, though, because it seats only six people or so. I would love to go back here someday. It really is a magical place."

"I booked a one-night, two-meal package at this hotel. The room was a Japanese-style tatami room. The hotel is a 12-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station and has a very distinctive ambiance with its courtyard, waterfall, and koi fish. The staff were attentive and detail-oriented. The dinner offered a wide variety of dishes, including sashimi, sushi, and tempura. What left the deepest impression was the natural hot spring, which provided a truly delightful and relaxing experience for both body and mind!"
