"Hostelda ilk kalışımdı ve rahat bir konaklama geçirdim. Yatak rahattı, mekan temizdi, konum çok merkeziydi, tüm turistik noktalara yürüyerek gidebildim, konum da tüm ihtiyaçlarınız için çok uygundu çünkü tüm restoranlara, barlara, perakende mağazalarına ve istasyonlara yakındı. Özellikle uyurken etrafta olduğumda gürültüye karşı çok dikkatli olan 3 harika oda arkadaşım vardı. Bence tek dezavantajı bir Asyalı olarak bide ve asansör olmamasıydı (ki bu beklenen bir şeydi çünkü İngiltere'de bide yok ve bina eski olduğu için merdiven yoktu) ve karma tuvalet/banyo olmasıydı. Ama genel olarak harika bir konaklamaydı, personel yardımsever ve nazikti. Ama parfümümü bıraktım, umarım kızlar almıştır. Çok nazik oldukları için aldırmam."

"Amazing price for a central hostel. Easy friendly check in. Staying in girls dorm bunks which had curtains. Unfortunately they didn't reach to the end so not as private as expected. No lockers in our room only cages under the bed and you had to pay for a padlock so didn't bother. Nothing got stolen. Everyone very friendly. Rooms basic but comfy and roomy. Showers and loos like indoor portaloos. Breakfast nextdoor was ok. Tasty and just enough. Thank you for a great stay."

"Another night staying at this hostel. We stayed in a six-person female dorm. Except that the drainage is quite bad at the shower room, and the bunk bed is noisy when i move, everything is good and clean. A good choice for budget traveller!"

"I stayed at Safestay Edinburgh Cowgate from Sep 10–12, 2025. The location is excellent, right in the city center, and the staff were polite and helpful. For budget-friendly accommodation, it offers good value. However, there are a few areas where the experience could be improved: Beds: The bunk beds were quite loose and made a lot of noise with every movement, which disturbed sleep. Lockers: It would be much more convenient if lockers had an integrated pin-lock system. Having to buy a separate lock just for a short stay felt unnecessary. Noise at Night: Dorms can naturally be noisy, but there was excessive disturbance from snoring. On the second night, someone knocked on the door very loudly at 3 AM. Since all guests have electronic key cards, this should not have happened, and it was unsettling. Bathrooms: Cleanliness could be better. One of the toilets wasn’t flushing properly, and overall maintenance was lacking. Housekeeping: Fresh sheets were only provided after 6 PM on the second day, despite check-in being from 3 PM. This timing could be improved. Amenities: Providing simple slippers for bathroom use would be a small but thoughtful addition. Check-in/Check-out: Check-in at 3 PM feels quite late, while check-out at 11 AM feels early. A little flexibility would enhance the stay. Breakfast: Breakfast was fine for a short visit, but for longer stays it becomes repetitive. Overall, the hostel is a good choice for short, affordable stays in Edinburgh, with friendly staff and a great location. With a few improvements in facilities and guest comfort, it could easily deliver an even better experience."

"Have you ever spent the night in an old church? Here is the place. Somehow the old church vibe is super cozy. The location is central and Dean Village is just a 5-min walk. The staff (Ciprian) was very nice. Overall the room lived up to my expectations. Highly recommended!"

"I didn’t love my stay here, even though everything was clean and the staff were lovely. I stayed in a 12 bed mixed dorm, with a very very slow to close squeaky door. With the usual people coming and going throughout the night, this made for a few really terrible nights of sleep. I mentioned it to reception who seemed like it was out of their hands to fix- pack earplugs for your stay here! Otherwise no issues at all, and very well located."
