"This hotel is conveniently located. It is a traditional Japanese hotel with a lot of facilities. It is very beautiful, particularly the garden which is big and serene. The hot spring having both indoor and outdoor pools is impressive. The dining experience is fantastic because the setting is cosy and the food is extremely delicious. The mattresses, neither too soft, nor too hard, are very comfortable."

"Rooms are tidy and clean.  The staffs at restaurants are very good especially the grill serving our table.  She is from Taiwan and her name pronounce  “Q”? She is very detail and caring, very nice and pleasant. We stayed 2 nights, the dinner and breakfast menu are different and both are delicious!"

"Reception staff was excellent and courteous. Breakfast very limited and no variety. Had lot of difficulty in communication because of language barrier. Rooms looked tired and old in urgent need of renovation and upgrading. Toilet flush system didn’t work properly and sign posted as push the handle down hard. Shower control at ankle level and very old. How do the hotel expect guests to bend down to adjust the flow and temperature .  Room was not the worth money charged. Will not recommend to family or friends"

"Dear Hotel Team, I did not want to make these points of criticism public and therefore sent you an email on September 16, 2025. Since I have not received any response by October 1, 2025, I am now publishing my points of criticism. Thank you very much for hosting us from September 14 to 16 2025. Your service is so attentive and friendly - it was consistently perfect. Unfortunately, we experienced many shortcomings that I would like to point out to you. The room, unfortunately, was not clean. The sink siphon is yellow, and the bathtub on the balcony is full of residue from the thermal water. We found hair everywhere: on the floor, the bed, and the couch. I would expect a different hygiene standard in a 5-star hotel. The bed linen seemed old and had frayed edges and loose threads sticking out. It did not feel inviting to sleep in. On the terrace, the hanging chair had a hole that looked like it was caused by a cigarette. The wooden surfaces in the room showed a lot of wear and damage in many areas. Simply touching them up with a suitable marker or paint would already make them look newer and more high-quality. At the buffet, the water glasses were unfortunately very small. In the summer heat, I had to fetch four rounds of two glasses each at dinner to stay sufficiently hydrated. At the first breakfast, I got a cappuccino from the coffee machine. No milk came out, even though a staff member had just refilled it, and the remaining coffee tasted strongly of cleaning agent. The taste lingered in my mouth until the evening. I only took one sip and didn’t want to drink any more. On the first night, I was woken up by irregular beeping in the room. After a long search, I identified the safe as the source. The safe was irregularly entering codes on its own without any input. I tried to open it with my PIN - since our laptops were locked inside - but I couldn’t open it anymore. The error HOLD03 appeared, so I wanted to wait the three minutes for a new PIN entry. In the meantime, the safe entered codes again by itself and reactivated the HOLD03 timer. Luckily, I found a three-minute phase when the safe didn’t make an input on its own, and I was able to open it with my PIN. Out of lack of trust, I didn’t lock the laptops in the safe again. I kindly ask you to have the safe serviced and the defect repaired. Because of this, I unfortunately slept poorly and with the hygiene issues and the problems at the buffet, the overall stay was not enjoyable. A single problem would not make the stay worse, but the accumulation of issues put us off and does not correspond to a 5-star hotel charging ¥80,000 per night for a simple double room. I hope my feedback helps you and wish that you can resolve the problems easily and cost-effectively. Your service is on such a high level, and we truly appreciate that. Best regards"

"Very modern Japanese hotel. It is quite new as it is refurbished 2 years ago. Very clean and the onsen in the hotel is very modern. They offer another onsen which is opposite the hotel, which is much bigger but older. Room is small but adequate enough with everything supplied. Free parking and outside is the bus stop for those taking public bus. Overall hotel is great but abit pricy."

"The hotel is a short 1km walk from the local train station. The onsen uses natural volcanic spring water and is of very high quality. There is a private onsen available if you ask for the key, however the public bath was empty every time I visted. The room was large, clean, and very relaxing. The dinner was fancy, but had mild flavours. It was not our favourite meal. I was still hungry afterwards, but there was no more food available. There was free alcohol from 9pm to 10pm, but it was of poor quality. The staff were always very kind and helpful."

"Good things: Location is okay near the small town. Staff did their best to help. Also their breakfast was traditional Japanese and delicious! Bad things: It wasn't clear when I booked my room that there was NO bathroom and no toilet. We were expected to use the public bathrooms. Also the room was very cold and the heathe heater did not work well at all. Very traditional Japanese hotel but that doesn't mean that it can't be improved. We upgraded to a room with private bath and private onsen and that was cool but the bathroom was primitive and it was like walking into a freezer built in the 1800s. As I said, there's no reason why this cannot be modernized,"

"The service was excellent. The hot springs were very enjoyable. They have different types of hotsprings (regular, carbonic acid, cold). The food was excellent. We were stuffed. The portion was huge and the variety was wide.  Hygiene was great. The room was spotless and the balcony was very romantic under the moon light. Well worth the money."

"Absolutely love this place! The staff are very friendly, and the onsen is clean and well-maintained. There are 3 outdoor pools and 2 indoor pools, along with a steam room and sauna, which make for a relaxing experience. The facility is open for both day trips and overnight stays, but staying overnight is much better for a more chill and leisurely time. There’s a massage chair available, but it requires payment. Breakfast is also delicious and definitely worth it. The only downside is the location—it’s not very convenient and requires some walking. If you’re traveling light, it’s manageable. They do have a payable shuttle bus, but the timing isn’t great. Walking can be pleasant if the weather’s nice, or you can opt for a taxi. Overall, I’ll definitely book this place again for the relaxing atmosphere!"

"상존 스태프 없이 셀프 체크인/셀프 체크아웃 하는 시스템이었습니다. 트립닷컴에서 보내준 예약 번호 (11자리)로는 아무것도 할 수 없었고, 호텔측 말로는 사전에 이메일로 Registration 링크를 보냈고 투숙객은 사전 입력/등록을 통해 QR 코드 및 호텔 시스템에 등록할 수 있는 6자리 예약번호를 받아 체크인하는 거라고 합니다. 호텔 측에서는 ******* message로 링크를 보냈다고 하는데 제게 직접 온 이메일은 없었고 트립닷컴으로부터는 11자리 예약번호 외에는 받은게 없어 체크인할 때 엄청 고생했습니다."
