It stands in its own secluded sunny garden of 1/2 acre with easy access ( about 5 mins walk ) to the village of Braemar in the Scottish Highlands. Faces due south, and has double glazed windows looking out on magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. Walks lead directly to the moors and hills, or down to the river Dee; close by are Balmoral Castle, Ballater and, of course, the Cairngorms. A cosy and traditionally decorated self-catering holiday cottage, Beechwood can accommodate groups, families and couples. Ideal for a relaxing break in Royal Deeside.Beechwood can comfortably sleep six people. The cottage is spacious and is tastefully decorated to a high standard, with a traditional Scottish theme.There are four good-sized upstairs bedrooms, two king-size rooms with shared shower room and two double-size rooms with shared bathroom (shower above bath). Downstairs there is a further shower room. There is a hairdryer and all linen and towels are provided.Downstairs there is a cosy lounge with open plan dining with seating for six people and an open fire. Beechwood's well-equipped kitchen is open plan with the family area to suit modern living and has a Smart TV, Bose bluetooth speaker and games and puzzles for all ages. There is a fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. To complete the family room there is a wood-burning stove which is very welcoming after a day outdoors.The large west facing garden is a fabulous sun-trap, the sun can be enjoyed from mid morning to the last rays in the evening. There is access to a large lockable shed - perfect for guests to store bikes or golf clubs etc.There is on-street parking directly outside the cottage.Beechwood is located in the centre of the Victorian village of Ballater and has all the amenities of the village on the doorstep.
