This beautiful Rustic Log Cabin is located on the top of Hammond Hill adjacent 20 miles of trails for hiking, biking and cross-country skiing in the Hammond Hill State Forest in the town of Dryden, NY. It has breath taking views year round. A Tiny House is located on other side of garage, also available via VRBO. The cabin and the facilities are alcohol, drug and smoke free. Alcohol and drugs are not allowed on the premises. The cabin has two bedrooms with full size beds, dressers, and desks. The cabin also has a full bathroom and a loft which has 4 single beds. There is high speed wifi, a washer & dryer, a pellet stove and central heating and air. Included is a TV. The kitchen includes a coffee, maker, microwave, dishwasher, full stove/oven and full size fridge. Dishes and cookware are included. This is an environmentally friendly home with solar panels and solar hot water. Cloth tablecloths and napkins are provided. The cabin sits on 60 acres of land. Down the hill from the cabin is a small woodland campground, Camp Earth Connection. The owner manages this campground and is easily accessible. The owner and her business Camp Earth Connection believes in Acceptance, Diversity and Community. The cabin and all facilities are LGBTQ & BIPOC friendly, and we welcome families and people from diverse backgrounds. The Mountain Queen as well as the other cabins on the land offer people the chance to enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature in a safe environment. Check in is between 4 and 8pm. Please note, this is a "Tiny House" and it is designed to be environmentally efficient. We ask that guests be conscientious about water use as well as recycling and composting. The odor free compost toilet does require some maintenance which you will be taught during orientation. The Tiny House has high speed WiFi, electric stove top, microwave, mini-fridge, kitchen sink, wooden table, eating and cooking utensils, hot shower and compost toilet as well as other amenities. The cabin has AC and is heated. As mentioned, in order to get to the bedroom you must climb up a short ladder to the loft. The loft has a low ceiling and angled roof, which is shorter on the sides. My son is 6'3" and he has lived in the tiny house and found it comfortable. The cabin is located adjacent to the Hammond Hill State Forest with 20 miles of trails for cross-country skiing, hiking and biking. Located just 12 miles from Ithaca, NY home of beautiful Gorges and state parks as well as Cornell University and Ithaca College. It' is about an hour's drive from Watkins Glen, NY. The cabin is perfect for those who enjoy a peaceful country setting. This is an adult space and is strictly limited to not more then two people. With a glass table & chairs for 6, luxury furniture and a weber propane grill, it's the perfect retreat.The massive eat in kitchen has Whirlpool appliances including full size stove and dishwasher as well as the second wood burning fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped including convenient pantry staples and complementary coffee. With a dining table for 6 it's the perfect place to feel at home while away.The master bedroom features a king size bed and is extra large at 13'x14' with convenient double door access to the bathroom from the master as well as from the main hallway. The second bedroom is 13'x9.5' and is set up as the perfect home office with amazing light and a peaceful view. The room includes a desk, office chair, large reading chair and a new (in Summer 2021) Luanto full sized pull out couch. For additional sleeping needs we also have a new (in Summer 2021) Luanto king sized pull out couch in the living room.
