Le Querce Resort Sea Thermae & Spa

Not the best for families I travelled with my wife and 12 month old daughter. Firstly the good parts: Beautiful views, very clean hotel, breakfast, lunch and drinks all great. Pool was nice and spacious. Nice location, as previously reviewed a 20minute stroll down to the port. Bus stop directly outside to explore the island. A few things which needs to be improved: Sea view room with balcony booked. Only accessible through a steep stair case, which navigating with a pram was not ideal. There was a shorter access route which required less stairs, however this is closed in the evening. We asked to be moved and the hotel accommodated. However on moving all our cases and luggage to the new room we were told there was now an increase on cost! Not explained previously, I refused and ultimately the hotel honoured our original rate. The mini bus holds circa 10people. We put our name down on the list and was the first customers to do so for that evening. The bus was departing approx 18.30. We got to the bus at 18.25. To see the mini bus full. Despite explaining the driver we were the first names down he simply replied I will be back in 20 minutes and drove off. I complained to reception who shrugged their shoulders and said you will be on the next bus. We had a dinner reservation at 19.00 which we then missed as we arrived at 19.20 and they had given the table away. We did phone but they didn’t answer presumably as they were busy serving customers. We had made the reservation 4 weeks prior such was our desire to go to this specific restaurant. Point being. Just because your name is on the mini bus list doesn’t mean you will be on the mini bus. Why the driver doesn’t simply cross people off on giving their room numbers is beyond me. The pool although fantastic for swimming was like a morgue. Total silence. You could hear a pin drop. We was the only people with a child in the hotel. Any cry, laugh or splash from our daughter was met by some with a look of disgust. If you don’t like kids, don’t want kids at your hotel book an adults only hotel. A point of note: The walk down to the port involves some steep curbs and edges and at some points the pavement completely stops so you have to cross the busy road to continue your descended to the port. In all crossing the road several times to make sure you have an actual pavement to walk on. This hotel is mostly very good but best suited for adults who don’t mind children and accept that there maybe children in the pool on holiday splashing, laughing and having fun,

Excellent location, staff friendly and attentive. Restaurant manager and team were 1st class, along with wonderful fresh food. Highly recommend. Reception and rest of team Excellent, definitely come again.

Beautiful hotel that makes you feel at home. Joe and staff at the front desk were always very pleasant, professional and helpful. Especially helpful with rainy weather, ferry scheduling and taxi ride to the port the day I left. I am so appreciative for their kindness. I highly suggest using the spa services. Connie is a lovely person who made my spa experience one I will never forget. I ate breakfast and dinner in the dining room. The cuisine was all very delicious. My compliments to the chef. My waiter "Bond" was so very pleasant and attentive. Francesco at the bar was serving some good drinks and conversation. The hotel is spotless, has gorgeous views and is beautifully decorated. The thermal pools are amazing. My room had a balcony with a view that I will never forget. I look forward to returning to Ischia and staying at Le Querce Resort…

We had a wonderful stay at the Querce. Its in a great location to walk into Ischia or next to a bus stop for travel all over the island. The staff are all so professional, polite and helpful. Most notably *****r in the restaurant, Vassili and Joe on reception and Concelia the lovely massage therapist. It has its own beach platform, great pools and indoor spa area. We stayed bed and breakfast and there is a lovely selection of hot, cold food and pastries in their restaurant with the most wonderful views across the bay to Vesuvius and Procida. The rooms are kept wonderfully clean and serviced by the lovely maid staff. We have stayed at the Mare next door, but this experience surpassed that. Highly recommend and we would return when we next visit Ischia.

Beautiful property, front desk staff were very helpful, shuttle to town was handy but would have been nice if more frequent trips. Property has it's own beach but be aware that there are about 200 steps to get there.

You will feel welcome here ., i stayed in many hotels throughout my overseas travels from 3-5 stars( Mandarin Oriental, Hilton Diamond members, Sofitel, Banyantree , Marriott bonvoy 10+ years members) The staff here are attentive and courteous. 5**** . I will be back.

This hotel is a real gem, absolutely special in so many ways. The setting is stunning - even the best photographs can't fully do it justice - looking out to the Bay of Naples and framed by a stunning umbrella pine over the gorgeous outdoor pool, which is heated by natural thermal springs. While the rooms are large and comfortable, with excellent daily room service, and the breakfasts are great with plenty of choice, what really makes Le Querce is the staff. All of the team are friendly and efficient and warm and always keen to help, and even appreciated our poor efforts to speak some basic Italian. However, the standout mention for us has to be the head bartender Francesco - who is so much more than this, really he is like the heart of the hotel. He was incredible, so warm, friendly, helpful, entertaining - the list could go on but he is worth coming to stay here alone, it really felt as if we had made a friend in him. It goes without saying that he makes a fantastic drink too, as does his team, whether a *****ni or a Dark and Stormy. Diana on reception was also lovely. We had fantastic massages in the spa and explored lots of the island. This is a great hotel to have as a base because it's easy to walk into Ischia port or if you'd rather, there is a bus stop right outside the hotel, which can take you anywhere around the island in really not much time. A real highlight was the beautiful private jetty into the sea - 260 steps down and then back up but worth every step for the beauty and seclusion of it. Absolutely magical place to stay, we loved it. We will definitely come back.

We loved everything about this hotel and the views are fabulous. We had a limited sea view room and the views were great. The pool was warm and there was always plenty of loungers, both in the sun and shade and there’s a lovely poolside bar with a friendly bar man. We also enjoyed the indoor spa with warm pool and steam room. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was brilliant with so much choice of a wide range of food. We only ate there one evening and my husband said it was the best steak ever. For me, a non-meat eater, not as much choice but it was reasonable. The hotel has over 260 steps to the beach with bathing platform, the sea was amazing but the beach itself was very small. It is a 15 minute downhill walk into the town with wonderful views. The town has lovely shops and great restaurants with a large beach to the end of the town. We caught the local buses a few times which was an experience in itself. Frequent buses go past the hotel and we had wonderful days at Poseidon Thermal Gardens and La Mortella Gardens of which we would highly recommend both. All the staff were exceptional but in particular Diana who was perfect. We saw Diana every day and she was helpful, friendly and always had a smile. We were on a TUI 2 part centre holiday and Ischia included a ferry ride and all the transfers were efficient. We would not hesitate to visit this hotel again.

If you’re looking for a Hilton style hotel, this will not be for you. The hotel has a step back in time feel to it. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is plentiful, we ate at the hotel twice, both times the food was excellent. It is close to the port and the bus service is excellent (you can buy a weekly ticket for 14 euros that will take you around the island). Bus takes about 5 minutes to get to the port with the bus stop right outside the hotel, alternatively it’s a pleasant downhill walk (about 20 minutes). Plenty of taxis (charged approximately 15 Euros).
