One of the best places to be in! Great environment, aesthetic rooms and very friendly staff. The chef, and the service people are great. The food was a whole other experience. It’s a little too pricy for locals, but it’s definitely one of the best places to be at. The breeze and the wind was too notch.

A great option to stay in Kandy.... Very nice place, a boutique hotel, a very kind and friendly staff... High recommendation to stay here... The breakfast is very good, fresh, done in moment, and very yummy 😋 Congratulations to the Chrf but to all of the staff Just stayed here for a night but if I could and knew then would have stayed 2 nights....

The Elephant Stables was the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka! The hotel is nestled in the hills above Kandy city, making it very peaceful and relaxing, but within a short distance to all the cities attractions. The view from the garden and infinity pool is spectacular, and we wish we had had more time to enjoy the property. The staff is what makes this place so amazing - they are so friendly and attentive, with the food being the best we’ve had in all Sri Lanka. Don’t skip out on the dinner menu and ensure you have time to enjoy their delicious breakfast. We can’t wait to recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Kandy.

Lovely clean room with great details. People were very friendly. Super nice pool with a great view. Especially the food made us fall in love with this place. We‘ve had the best sri lankan food throughout the whole trip! And the owner does nice Cocktails. 10/10 would do again!

You feel like royalty in the beautifully designed rooms, each one different. Amazing food and the staff was willing to accommodate my vegan dietary restriction. The comfortable poolside seating and stargazing will remain highlights of the trip.

The Riverdale Bungalow at the Elephant Stables was the first stop on our Sri Lankan trip and we couldn’t have found anywhere more perfect. The bungalow has been newly renovated and we were honoured to be the first guests to stay here. Our 2 bedrooms were beautifully appointed and the views over the valley have to be seen to be believed. There is a new infinity pool that is absolutely stunning. It felt like our own personal piece of paradise. The thing that really stood out for us was the incredible kindness and generosity shown to us by all the staff. Manjula was our butler who went above and beyond - nothing was too much trouble for him and he always had a smile on his face; Indika our chef who prepared a feast on our first night that we will never forget and breakfasts to die for; Yasitha our driver who navigated the chaos of Kandy like a true champion; Ranil the general manager who organised so many outings for us including a personalised tour of the Botanical Gardens, train tickets from Kandy to Ella and tickets to the unmissable Kandy Pedahera; and Joel the hotel manager who is the loveliest man one could ever hope to meet. I miss them all already and can’t thank them enough for making us feel so special and part of their Elephant Stables family. This is a truly wonderful and personal hotel and I can’t wish to come back with the rest of my family very soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing experience. The staff is super friendly, and working together as a great team. The food is absolutely amazing. Best food we had during our Sri Lanka experience, so we stayed in for dinner the full time we were there. The tortes in the garden are super cute - the kids loved feeding them and petting them. And the view stunning. We stayed in the family room - again, most beautiful place we stayed in during our srinlanka experience. Highly recommend this place!!
