Because of the yellow duck, I stayed at the Hanshen Hotel in Kaohsiung. As soon as I entered the hotel, I was greeted by the scent of flowers and the fragrance was everywhere. For this family trip, the two adults and one child were arranged in a side room on the high floor. The night city view was beautiful. The room was clean and very comfortable to sleep on! The housekeeping staff you meet in the corridor will also smile and say hello, which makes you feel friendly. The welcome fruit in the room is great!

The indigo hotel is as stylish as ever. When we visited, the hotel entrance, lobby and rooftop bar all had Barbie-themed decorations. I like the rooftop bar very much. Although it is not very high-rise, it feels very good because of the open air and the large screen set up in the hotel. My family and I booked a total of four rooms. Each room has a slightly different layout and decoration. I really appreciate the small bag placed on the sink to take the soap that guests have opened and used back home. It is a very thoughtful detail that makes me happy. The soap used can be taken away and used again, no waste! In addition, you can freely choose the pillows in the room. They put the optional pillow introduction paper beside the bed. Other hotels have to call and ask to know if there are other pillow options. Indigo adds a lot of points here!

The location is convenient. The staff at the door will carefully remind you of the steps. They are very friendly and smiling. Every experience is good. Breakfast is a set menu with a buffet bar. I think the part of the breakfast that is not hungry needs to be strengthened. The lettuce is a bit hard. Of course, the breakfast decoration has a good atmosphere, and the service staff is also attentive and good at introducing the meals.

A great location with great service. You're right next door to Kaohsiung Pier 2. The rooms may not have windows, much like ours didn't. If they do have windows, you can't open them. They're not particularly spacious in this hotel but you are very close by to numerous restaurants and cafes too, so it works out well. At time we could hear noises from the corridor so be weary of that. Busses are nearby but the times don't always align with google maps. Was a decent place, adequately priced and suitable for the time we had. But if we go back, we'll probably try for a more spacious place with a view! Otherwise for the cheap and cheerful option, this might be a great way to go!

Kangqiao Business Hotel is really a model of CITS hotel👍 Reasonable price, reasonable service~ For a late night snack, I specially chose the Guangrong Pier store, which is located near the light rail Guangrong Pier. The transportation is convenient and there is a parking lot. The late night snack is as the name suggests, super delicious, and the selection is also precise and diverse! The hotel is very clean, and the system operation is simple and clear. There is a free 24-hour ice cream bar and washing and drying clothes. There are many sockets in the room, which is very suitable for business needs. The hair dryer is not built-in, which is great, and it is very friendly to girls who need to blow their hair. The service staff are also very attentive and considerate. My favorite breakfast is the freshly fried breakfast. Kangqiao's egg pancakes are always delicious. Would be much better if external wall cleaning can be arranged more frequently so can enjoy better view at the room. Late review but really unforgettable stay experience 🥺 The landlord sister contacted WhatsApp in advance and informed the check-in details, so the communication was very smooth, and she was always concerned about greetings from check-in to check-out. The decoration of the B&B room is very unique. I found that the wall is not wallpaper but handmade murals. The homestay is very clean and quiet. I brought food to my relatives and friends. The landlord sister took the initiative to say that I can use the refrigerator, oh. This time I came to Kaohsiung to see old friends, but the day I wrote a review has planned a new trip to Taiwan with new friends. I hope I can stay again!

I am visiting my mom in Taiwan and decided to spend a couple of nights in Kaohsiung. I will be quite honest. I didn't have a lot of expectations staying at a Holiday Inn Express. But the stay exceeded my expectations. I took the MRT and the station is less than 5 minutes walk to the hotel. The check in process was smooth. I was offered a drink (I picked soda!) at check in for being a Platinum member. A very nice gesture. My room is small, but most rooms in Asia seem small to me coming from the US. It has a tiny view of the river and the park. You can tell the hotel is pretty new. I work a lot in my room wherever I am traveling in the world. This modern room provides all the necessary electric outlets for me to plug whatever I need in. This is important to me as well as good working wifi, which this property provides. Oh! They also gave me a basket of snacks and drinks! That was a very pleasant surprise! The breakfast selection is somewhat limited but sufficient whether you are into ********* or Western breakfast. I don't travel to Taiwan often, so whenever I can have ********* breakfast, that's what I eat! They even have a noodle station, but unlike most other Asian hotels I stayed at, it is a self-serve Noodle station. I don't trust myself enough to make one. I wonder if it is possible for the hotel to allocate a staff person to work the station. The service at the breakfast buffet was great! They offered to make me drinks. I took the opportunity to order some iced latte. I almost gave this place a 5-star, but there are a couple of things needed work: 1) I could never get the shower head aligned to face me directly while standing in the middle of the shower. 2) The water pressure in the sink is really low when it is on cold. If I turned it away from cold, the pressure is fine. But I don't always want warm or hot water. 3) This one is more of a personal suggestion. I wish this place had a gym/workout room. That's another thing I look for when I travel. Not sure if there is anything they can do. But just thought I would throw it out there. I read some unnecessary harsh reviews (like one earlier where the worker had trouble finding their reservation), but my experience tells me the staff tries their best to make your stay enjoyable. I am sorry I couldn't quite give this hotel a 5-star, but I will definitely stay here again in the future when I am in Kaohsiung!

Nice hotel in a great location in Kaohsiung. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodative and could speak enough English to be effective. The view from my upper floor balcony was great overlooking the harbor and many of Kaohsiung’s main attractions. For the price, having a nice balcony was a great amenity. Local access to the underground transit was really close as was the local trolly. I’d rate the walkability as very high. That includes proximity to a larger grocery store, higher end restaurants, local family owned restaurants and shopping. The night market was only a single stop away on mass transit. There are multiple walk-on opportunities for local ferries that provide tours around the harbor that I recommend. For perspective I am a solo senior traveler from the USA who has traveled Asia extensively.
