This is a very convenient location to stay in. It is a few steps away from a metro station, and surrounded by shops and eateries. The building itself houses shops on both sides. I'd recommend walking around the shops here, and venture into a Muslim enclave, with eateries that were crowded with locals when we took an evening stroll, as well as a mosque which looked like any Chinese temple. The neighbouring Shuncheng mall looks new and have a greater variety of shops including a supermarket in the basement.
Be mindful though that the location is crowded most of the time and traffic can be quite bad. As with most city hotels in China, you will also be assaulted with blaring car horns though these died down by bedtime.
