"Such a lovely place to stay in Kunming. The staff speak English, and the location is perfect, everything is easily accessible, from the lake to Kunming Old Street, Nanping Pedestrian Street, and even a local fresh market nearby. What I really loved is that it’s a mix of both Chinese and international travelers. If you’re traveling solo, you’ll probably make friends here in no time. I was genuinely surprised to see people of all age groups just hanging out and having a great time together. One small thing to note, there’s no elevator. So if you’re carrying heavy luggage, getting to the top floor can be a bit of a task. Smoking in allowed in the common area, a warning is that you will be passive smoking. My favorite part has to be their cafe and restaurant. After a long day, it was so comforting to not worry about finding food outside. They’re open until 11 pm, and the food is genuinely good. Morning coffee was sorted too. I already miss my favorite Oreo drink, both mocha and chocolate milk, please share the recipe😭. We only stayed here on our arrival and departure days, but ended up eating at their cozy restaurant most of the time. They also have some nice vegetarian options. If I ever come back, I would definitely stay here again. I absolutely loved the place, the vibe, and the people. I was also really curious about the story behind the owner after reading the little note in the menu, but couldn’t find more about it. Wishing you good health and happiness.🌷"

Even when I had other questions, she diligently helped me find answers and solutions. The check-in process was efficient and didn't drag on. The hotel's location is excellent, with many dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby, making it suitable for both leisure and business travelers. Overall, I felt comfortable and relaxed. I'll prioritize choosing this hotel again next time I'm in the area. I truly recommend it!"

"Traveling with my child, we stayed at the Hilton in downtown Kunming, and the experience far exceeded our expectations! I have to give a special shout-out to the front desk staff, who proactively upgraded our room for free and even gave our child a complimentary breakfast, saving us extra expenses – such great value for money. The room was clean and spacious, with excellent facilities. The breakfast buffet offered a huge selection, with plenty of pastries and milk specifically for kids. The hotel's location is superb; it's right in the city center, making it convenient to get anywhere. All the staff were incredibly kind and patient, especially friendly towards children. Our travel fatigue completely melted away here. I highly recommend it for families!"

"This hotel is excellent! First off, the room layout is well-designed, and the breakfast is incredibly rich and delicious – especially their homemade snowflake crisp, which is a must-try! The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Plus, the hotel's location is superb, being very close to popular attractions and Cuihu Walking Street. It's incredibly convenient for sightseeing, making it the top choice for anyone visiting Kunming!"
Grand Hyatt Kunming
"We were a group of 15 people, four families with kids, staying together. Overall, it was quite convenient! Besides traffic, it was easy for the children to go out and explore the area, with plenty of places to eat and shop. The facilities, including the bathrooms, were fine, and the bedding was comfortable for a good night's sleep. The only real issue was the slow service; we were told it was fully booked, and we had to wait two hours for our luggage, which definitely needs improvement, though it wasn't a major problem. I also have a suggestion: since they contact guests in advance, and families with children often book multiple rooms, why not assign them to the same floor beforehand? We had to spend over half an hour at check-in discussing this to get rooms on the same floor. How much efficiency was lost? It was frustrating. P.S. I've attached some photos of good food spots nearby."

"The hotel service was excellent. I booked it last minute in the evening, and they proactively asked if I needed airport pickup. The room was large and very clean; I believe it was an upgraded room, although the front desk didn't mention it, I noticed it after comparing. The airport drop-off service was also great; even though it was outside the standard time, they still coordinated with the driver to arrange it for us. Overall, it was impeccable!"

"I followed Ctrip's Yunnan hot spring hotel ranking to pick this hotel, and they really are experts! The Tengchong Kaishen Hot Spring Hotel absolutely deserves its double 5-star rating. [Hot Spring Experience] You can enjoy a private hot spring right in your room, and the water quality is incredibly comfortable! You don't even need to leave your room to experience the freedom of a hot spring. The hotel's overall environment is also very luxurious, completely meeting 5-star standards. Service Details: 1. The breakfast selection was rich, and for two consecutive days, the dishes were completely different, which shows great thoughtfulness. 2. They even provided two different flavors of toothpaste with the toiletries. 3. When checking out, not only did they give us a souvenir, but knowing we were driving, they specially prepared a car air freshener. Fully satisfied, 190%!"

"Highly recommended! The lady at the front desk was super efficient and friendly, and she proactively told us all about the hotel's facilities. The housekeeping staff were also very prompt with their service, whether it was refilling items or quickly solving any issues. For instance, when they noticed a guest coughing, they even offered chrysanthemum tea! The hotel itself is clean, spacious, and bright, with convenient amenities. The service is simply outstanding – warm, efficient, and they pretty much cater to every request. Plus, the room rates are affordable, and parking is free. I was very satisfied with my stay!"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We originally booked a 60-square-meter hot spring king room with a terrace and breakfast. To our surprise and delight, the hotel kindly upgraded us to an even larger room free of charge. The upgraded room was incredibly spacious. Besides the bedroom, it featured a separate living room, a large balcony, an enormous bathroom, a jetted tub, and a private sauna. The moment we opened the door, we couldn't help but exclaim, "This is huge!" The room's design heavily incorporated wood, complemented by high, distinctive ceilings, creating a strong resort vibe. Our favorite areas were the balcony and living room; they felt incredibly open and were perfect for simply relaxing, enjoying tea, or chatting. After a soak in the jetted tub in the evening, followed by a session in the sauna, all the day's fatigue just melted away. This setup far exceeded our initial expectations. The hotel's service also deserves praise. While a free upgrade isn't mandatory, it's these extra touches that make guests feel valued and cared for. The biggest takeaway from this stay is that we booked a hot spring room but unexpectedly enjoyed a suite-level experience. From the room size and facilities to overall comfort, everything was exceptionally satisfying. I would definitely choose to stay here again without hesitation."

"The hotel offers an airport shuttle service, which is super convenient, taking only about 15 minutes to get to the airport. The hotel is clean, and the bedding is pristine white. Both the bath and face towels come individually sealed. There's a washing machine and dryer on the first floor. After my clothes were washed, the staff even thoughtfully put them in a bag and had a robot deliver them to my room."

"Room Type: My room on the third floor had a small courtyard and was a loft style. I had originally booked for three nights, but being a light sleeper, I found the noise from either the air conditioner or solar water heater a bit loud after the first night. After speaking with the butler, we were upgraded to a duplex garden chess and card family room for the second and third nights. This room had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, was very spacious at 135 square meters, and offered a much better experience. Hygiene: The room was clean and tidy, with a smart toilet and a strong shower. Service: Our butler was very enthusiastic, attentive, and thoughtful. He helped with pick-up, drop-off, and luggage, and provided water, hangers, and anything else we needed during our stay. Big thumbs up to him (I didn't catch his name, so I'll just call him the 'chubby young man' for now 😀). Surrounding Environment: Not far from the hotel, there's Dianchi Green Island, where people jog and cycle. The environment is beautiful and the air is fresh, making it perfect for a relaxing vacation. Minor Drawback: The breakfast selection was a bit limited, though it was very healthy. It would have been even better with more variety. Overall, it's worth staying here, and I would choose it again next time."
