Premier Inn Leicester City Centre

The location is perfect but the room standard is varied. Couple months back I stayed in the renovated room without bath but shower. I wanted to the same type of room this time but I was put into a disable room which had some very strong chemical smell and the bathroom conditions was really bad with mould and colour. Tried to change room but was not allowed. They said they could only move me to another disable room even I paid the same price for the renovated room.

I used to like this Premier Inn as I was quite happy with my previous stay. However this time we were allocated with a low floor and not renovated room. When I requested for room change, I was requested to wait at the lobby till 3:30pm whilst the check-in time printed in the hotel confirmation was 2pm. During the stay there was no room cleaning, and no replenishment of toiletries which was made our stay not comfy. Pictures #1 and 2 are room not renovated and pictures #3 and 4 the refurbished one.

I was unable to sleep. There are some major bathroom problems with the hotel. I regret not checking more reviews before booking this hotel. It seems plumbing issues are common. I was in room 708 specifically. I am in no way a light sleeper, I fall asleep on trains, airplanes, etc and used to live above a bar with live music. It was mainly because it's out of nowhere every 15-20 minutes and then completely quiet again. It's a loud gargling noise coming from the bathroom pipes. The first time I told reception of the issue and asked if I could be moved they told me there was no rooms available. I woke up in the middle of the same night due to the noise. I went to the reception again since I couldn't sleep anyways. This different receptionist was able to just move me to another room. This happened on the same night.

Courteous and helpful staff, very comfortable rooms ( apart from hard pillows ) 5 minutes from the train station and Granby Street, the main shopping street, nice restaurant. A nice range of enjoyable food for breakfast, will definitely be back.

It's not often I feel so frustrated and aggravated by a hotel visit. From a dismal car park, awkward entry and payment options, absent and uninterested staff to lifts that cancel my requests and a pillar in the middle of the room. I thought Premier Inn hotels had a consistent standard, but this location has caused me to reconsider.

Delicious breakfast, lovely room. Bed was very comfy and the view was nice aswell being on the 10th floor! Brook on reception made the check in process easy, Paula and Naomi were welcoming at breakfast, Martyna, Isobelle, and Toni were also helpful during my stay.

The thing I love about Premier Inns is that they are always "what they say on the tin". Good locations, clean & friendly consistent in standard. Not least was this the case with Leicester City Centre's P Inn. We had a lovely welcome, a good 5th floor room with plenty of extra floor room space and all for £62 per night. Plus we took a Meal Deal - so with bed, full English breakfast and evening meal it was £115 all in (for 2). Breakfast was a highlight - not least because young student Naomi couldn't possibly have been more helpful/friendly. Well done Naomi. So yes, Premier Inn's are exactly right for us - thank you.

The hotel is conveniently near to the station and near to restaurants and shops. You can travel there by wheelchair as the station and hotel are accessible. The room was clean but poorly furnished. No phone or fridge.
