The youth hostel on Mama Island looks like this. I didn’t expect it to be like an illegally constructed wooden room. The room is small. The four-person dormitory has only two bunk beds. The room has window-style old air conditioners and fans, no cabinets and no toilets. There is no hot water in the public bathroom, and the infrastructure is not in good condition, so the price is not cheap! The service attitude is very good. I can’t sleep because of the smell of glass glue in the room, so I changed to a single room with a price of 800P (I did not charge me any more, but I booked an island hopping tour at his house the next day). The single room is ok . I don’t know why this company gets a high score, maybe because the service attitude is particularly good? It may also be that the foreigners don't care about the conditions and the open-air walkway full of sand! In fact, it is the most cost-effective to come to Momma Island to check and find a room. On the second night, I found a single room with a fan of 600P in another house. The online booking price is higher than the on-site booking (bargain).

We arrived at the hotel with two bikes and baggage driven by rooms. No reception, delivery of keys in the hand and driven to our room. It was good that the room was comfortable, clean and very spacious, and in the bathroom c was the shower heating, which was not recently. It was also a diving center but no one was uncomfortable to offer something to us, my husband and I went to dive, and we asked for a boat to rent, but we waited for nothing for someone to get us. The restaurant is so, but no one wants to take a scooter to cross the streets in the middle of the bars. The positive note was the unique beach in all that landfill to be called beach, but the coral barrier destroyed by the boats, and the fruit cocktails and smoothies to enjoy on the beach. This island was a great disappointment, given the distance and time to reach us, you could have gone to some other island to end in beauty with nature and dives. It takes a lot more than 3 hours to get out of Cebu with a private taxi driver, risking life every meter. To get to the island you are forced to go on boat that if you get that on the way as our life risks (I have two nautical cards I know what I say) my husband's little nn you're gonna ruin a leg by going on boat because after you put us on foot you're gonna be And it was thrown down and thrown down to the knee, and all this we paid for; and in three nights we made only two, and less bad, because the boat, if it is in few, decided not to take you from the other side. Que buena elección fue quedarnos alojados en Slam's Garden Resort y bucear con ellos con Oceans Passions. Están los dos en el mismo sitio. El alojamiento es de 10, limpísimo, con piscina y se come genial. Y el centro de buceo es de 10 también. Equipos en perfecto estado, muy buenos instructores y guías de buceo, muy atentos a todo. Recomiendo totalmente qued**** alojados y bucear con ellos. Toda la gente que trabaja en ambos sitios es genial, y además tienen perros bien cuidados 🙂 Muchas gracias por todo Santiago! Un placer!

We specifically visited Malapascua to dive with the thresher sharks — which was outstanding — but we were pleasantly rewarded with an amazing stay at Ocean Vida. The staff, food, bar, room, and dive center were all excellent and it was one of the highlights of our travels in the Philippines. Our fabulous bartender, Grace, was a true standout. The level of service and friendship was amazing, not to mention the best cocktails we’ve had in our month in the Philippines. We have no hesitation recommending a stay at Ocean Vida to any divers out there. PS - did we mention diving with the thresher sharks was an incredible experience? Don’t hesitate - book.

Due to a last minute decision, to sqeeze in a few nights at Malapascua Island, the better hotels like Tepanee were already booked out. Pro: + top location at the cliffs at western end of Bounty Beach, just a few minutes walk away from the restaurants + friendly and helpful staff + spacious Deluxe Suite w/ ocean view, overlooking the entire Bounty Beach while sitting on the balcony + fair room rates + arrangement of private car transfer from/to Cebu Airport on request was reliable and at a very reasonable rate +/- simple but ok breakfast Underwhelming: - very sp****ly furnitured ”Deluxe” suite - not bedside lamps and tables, not bedside light switch, no amenities other than a little shampoo bag and 2 t-paper rolls, kind of careless - bathroom wasn't clean at arrival, crooked bathroom door hinge. Bathroom door cold only be closed by application of force - during low tide very shallow, not swimmable beach Not the fault of the owner is a misleading foto, posted by a fellow traveller, that shows a swimming pool, which looks very nice. The only problem is, that it is from whatever Blue Corals Hotels elsewhere on the planet. But defo not from Blue Corals Malapascua, which neither has a pool, nor pretends to have one. I got trapped by this foto, too. Bottom line: Hotel ok for 3-5 nights, when the price is right, but not sure if I would book again.

The hotel is one of the earlier hotels on the island. There are fewer people here, which is very suitable for people who like quiet. The hotel has its own beach, bar and diving centre, with boat rides from Cebu to the hotel beach. The facilities in the room are old, but they are large and have a balcony. The food in the hotel restaurant tastes good. It is also a good choice if you don't want to go after tired diving. The water outside the beach is shallow and the visibility is good. Snorkeling with children is a good location, but be careful of sea urchins.

Good hotel. The room is simple, there is nothing more than a soul, hot water. Staff is excellent. I recommend visiting the restaurant on the first floor, cook very delicious.

It's a bit far to walk to Main Beach. The hostel itself is located in a high location, so you have to walk a lot of stairs to get in once ㅠ Instead, the sea view is good :) The room condition is like a modern traditional house. It was good. However, ants are abundant in each room ㅠㅠ No food in the room, walls. Beds. Tables. Toilet. Balcony...It was an ant heaven

I recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to stay in naval! The staff was amazing, friendly, provided excellent service and treated me and my girlfriend like family! Clean, hot showers, great air-conditioning, everything we asked fir was done immediately. We even had hot showers, wifi and electricity during a brownout!! I will always book here when in naval!!
