First let me say it was a wonderful visit: Now, Let’s start with the negatives and get them out of the way. The AC is centrally controlled by the hotel. That’s not good at all! The shower has no edge around it and there is no door, so the water just pours out of the shower onto the bathroom floor. WHAT THE HOLY HECK???!!! We solved the problem by pointing the shower head down and towards the back wall. That’s fine for my 5’ 4” small wife, but I am 6 foot two and I could barely get under the showerhead enough to take a shower. This was very weird. We also rolled up towels and built a little hill or dam/ barrier around the outer edge of the shower stall. Ok, now the good: the room was huge compared to what you’d normally find in Paris (or France for that matter). Our window faced out over the circle below and had great views. It’s close to anything you’d need. The train station was within walking distance. Parking was inside and secure and reasonably priced. Joseph at the front desk was AMAZING and very very helpful. Can’t say enough about how awesome he was. I definitely recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the Ibis Maisons-Laffitte in August 2021 at the beginning of our August/September France trip. We have stayed at the hotel many times after arriving at the Airport CDG because it is easy to get to and very well located. We had another wonderful experience.

First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! The large round mirror was supposed to light up with a touch switch but, we never got it to work. My Uber was driving around in ever decreasing circles as we couldn't find this hotel. But then La Defense is pretty impenetrable by car so I shouldn't have been surprised. Finally made it to reception to be greeted by a lot of smiling faces and the news that my room had been upgraded. The room itself (I had no idea what it had been upgraded from) was great - big double bed, plenty of space, soft towels. I tried the TV but there were only the usual channels. It would be nice (and perhaps expected in an hotel like this) to have a smart TV so I could login to my accounts but no. I had a fantastic caesar salad for dinner via room service, although the ordering method was slightly convoluted (via an app which you needed to scroll through to find the right bit - sounds straightforward but it wasn't completely). The bed was really comfortable and no noise from outside. In the morning the shower was powerful and hot and easy to use (not always the case first go). So friendly staff, nice room, good food, and tip-top shower - that's really all you want or need from a hotel.

The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. The breakfast is not very big but it is in line with the price, you have variety, fruit, eggs, cheese, jam, bread, bakery, ... As regards the location is very close to the walking stop, though it is true that it is a little away from the center. You must bear in mind buying tickets with access to line j. The normal doesn't come up there.

Spent one night here last weekend, the hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the Versailles Rive Gauche train station. We arrived earlier than the 3pm check in time, but were able to leave our luggage whilst we went for lunch which was handy. We were in room 41 on the second floor - the room was nicely decorated and a reasonable size, with a large and comfy bed and free tea and coffee making facilities. In the lobby there were also some pastries we could help ourselves to which was a thoughtful touch. There was no air con in the room, but there were 2 large fans and we could open the window which helped a bit as it was hot during our visit. On the next street (Rue de Satory) there was a good choice of restaurants and a couple of bars. We stayed on a Sunday night which meant some places were closed, but we had no problem getting a meal and a few drinks.

This is my second stay, and I am not disappointed by the location of nothing to say near La Défense, the nearby tram that ends late. It was just disappointed that there was no more standard room without the bed sofa. A pleasant staff.

Nice, stylish, clean hotel. Reception staff very competent. Breakfast staff overwhelmed by a normal number of people in the restaurant. There was only one coffee machine that was constantly not working and not enough viennoisseries for breakfast. When I mentioned that the orange juicer wasn't working, the staff member replied ”it isn't?” and then did nothing about it. The breakfast experience let the rest (which was excellet) down.

The hotel is very clean, super quiet rooms and the staff are very sympathetic (the manager even put my bottles of water in the hotel's refrigerator for which they are cold the next day). The hotel has a very good price ratio compared to the cheap, sale and cheaper hotels in Paris ... I will return closed eyes.
