I booked a standard double room but it was with an attic and a large decorative window. Tidy rooms but no room services and bad sound insulation.

Hotel is good for the price. Although they gave me a room on the 5th floor with a window on the ceiling, it was loud at night because it was raining. Tell them not to give you rooftop room. Anything else was good, heating, luggage storage, location… breakfast very good

Rude staff. Unpleasant stay. The breakfast tasted a bit weird. The orange juice was diluted too much and didn't taste like orange juice. Staff constantly watching us as we were eating. No privacy and no comfort. When I tried to get more food, one of them snatched the tongs out of my hand and told me to leave. It's literally a breakfast buffet and it says on their leaflet. It was very uncomfortable and it's not worth it. It was just a place to sleep. Nothing more. I wouldn't book here again.

The location is good. It is in the heart of city centre. May restaurants nearby.

Good friendly staff.
Excellent breakfast.
The bed frame was a bit noisy whilst sleeping.
Great power shower.
Impressive building with plenty of history.
Location close to Chinatown.

Very poor service at this particular brittania hotel, although I had checked in myself and booked for 2 guests, my guest was not allowed as they had no photographic id, the staff were rude, especially the British security staff and didn't care, never been an issue at any other hotel, so needed up booking another hotel for my guest. Also, the hotel is falling to bits, the door lock doesn't work properly, as well as mouldy windows, broken or worn fixtures and excessively dark as the only lighting available is the table lamps. The ceiling also seems to be falling apart with evidence of lots of leaks etc.

I went for my son’s graduation ceremony. The location is great. It has bus service just one minute walk outside
To bus station. And bus ticket is 2 pounds for one. Very convenient. After ceremony ，we go for a meal ， first choice is Chinese food 。 China town is very close too. Three minutes walk from hotel.
I definitely recommend to all my friends and I will use it again in the future.
Good value for the price.

I had a very unsatisfactory experience with this hotel, the staff is extremely friendly, and the hotel looks very nice, clean and luxurious, the room looks good and is very neat and clean, But I feel like the furniture is starting to get old. The toilet was difficult to flush and the shower curtain fell down when we touched it

Location was absolutely perfect. We didn’t have any reception or Aircon. Also open electrical sockets so wouldn’t have been good with children. Staff were friendly though.
