Despite encountering several issues during our stay, the assistant manager's (Idiana) exceptional responsiveness turned our experience around. From a leaking air conditioner to non-functional amenities like the telephone and Wi-Fi, coupled with missing essentials like a bottle opener, it seemed our stay was destined for disappointment. However, Idiana's proactive approach in addressing our concerns was commendable. She not only worked tirelessly to resolve the issues promptly but also went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Her dedication and attentiveness salvaged what could have been a disappointing stay, turning it into a testament to the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction. The food at all the restaurant was great and we were pleasantly surprised with kot nou. We will look forward to going back to this hotel for our next vacation. Also shout-out to Venita who gave us a room in a great spot.

I spent fantastic 12 days at Ravenala Attitude. On arrival the staff took extra care to make our stay as great as possible. Not only complaisance and courtesy of personnel served to create unforgettable experience, but additional benefits that we were granted without even asking for. First, we received an upgrade of our room and were transferred to the Executive area with spectacular view to the ocean, personal beans bags and some extra attention which is not provided in regular rooms. Apart from that, we got additional vouchers to have a lunch and a Candle Light Dinner since we initially booked a "honeymoon package". Staffed baked personalized cake and served us at one of the dinners. During our stay we found out that we can indulge ourselves with complimentary coffe time in the afternoon, which was not provided initially. I personally so very delighted to be treated like a princess, it was just a heaven! Our room has been kept very clean. I would like to express my gratitude to Sachin (F&B department) for his exceptional work and attention, Ayush Bhujun (F&B department) for all the complimentary cocktails and funny small talks and of course Ismail Peerally together with Manish for making all our dreams come true! I would strongly recommend to spend holidays or your honeymoon at Ravenala Attitude Hotel. You will absolutely be astonished and impressed!

Fabulous Hotel. Great that there is a choice of 9 restaurants. We tried 8 of them . Our favourites were : O Beach Greek restaurant for lunch & dinner great choice of food , i especially loved the salads . The two waiters were very nice & helpful we had a game of Pétanque with them before they started work one day. This is on the beach , so lovely to sit outside in the evenings. Lime , Japanese restaurant the food was delicious . It’s a small supplement but worth it . 5 course Set menu in the evening , selection of sushi in the afternoon, service was excellent. One the beach , beautiful setting . Italian ; again the food was delicious and fantastic cheerful service . Bistro great choice of delicious food. There are plenty of activities , and great team who run them. The 3 swimming pools are very big , clean and never crowded. Always plenty of sun beds . Beach is great but wish the water was clearer this is due to nearby river. We walked to Balaclava beach which was fabulous , lovely clear water for swimming & snorkelling 15 min walk . Extra Special mention to Mozohir (sorry I’ve probably spelt this wrong) he would bring coffee and water to us every morning by the pool then throughout the day glasses of water . He is always smiling. Prashanith Who went out of his way to make sure we had a bottle of water at night. Florencia who kept our room spotless everyday. Dimitry who served us at the Chinese is very helpful & polite . Always cheerful. As someone else mentioned the girl on the restaurant booking desk wasn’t very happy and would often say restaurants were booked unless we wanted to eat at 6pm but this was never the case . We tried booking Lime-restaurant when we arrived For the following evening but she told us it was full when we passed at 8pm there was only one couple there. We made sure we booked when Veer was working as he was very helpful and friendly. Overall a good 4 star hotel . We thoroughly enjoy our holiday. Rooms are nice size , passageways to them could be made to look better. Mauritius is a beautiful island. Apart from the 1st day of rain we had 13 days of sunshine, the temperature was perfect.

I am still very poorly on return home. Sickness & diarrhoea from food being uncovered for considerable amount of time with ants , flies , on food , birds flying over food and landing on food counters tables and plates. We saw cockroaches in corridors to rooms , bird poo was on tables, chairs, plates, counter tops.birds nests on roof above tables stuff falling out when birds in nests. Cats and dogs roaming grounds,restaurants,bar areas, pool area. Group of 17 and 5 were ill.. Rat traps everywhere while the staff continued to feed the wildlife. Rats running through entertainment bar, madame ming restaurant , Italian restaurant at night clearly visible nothing done. Rooms need upgrading leaking A/c , sockets hanging of walls , live wires showing in sockets. Room access steps to bedroom steps to toilet steps to showers they are a hazard. This is a disaster waiting to happen. A big thank you to staff who helped me when I collapsed with projectile vomit & diarrhoea and needed a wheelchair.

We have just spent 12 nights at this hotel on an all inclusive basis. We upgraded our room to the adults only section. I get the impression that these rooms are more up to date than the family rooms and overall we were happy with the room and housekeeping services. We had our own sun beds on the beach, but tended to use the pool area. The sun beds on the main beach and pool aren’t the most comfortable - many of them were worn and broken and several days we had to swap a broken bed for another nearby. The hotel is an eco friendly hotel and has quite a rustic feel about it. It is also very much a family friendly hotel and there are lots of local families that enjoy the facilities too. The hotel was also hosting conferences quite often. We used the spa twice for a massage. The first we had was wonderful, but we were disappointed with our second so didn’t book again. The cost is very reasonable for a hotel spa. We were unfortunately disappointed with the food at the hotel. The food in the buffet and the restaurants we tried was an ok standard, but we were particularly disappointed with the food we ate at O Beach where we had a very disappointing lunch on arrival (a CLUB sandwich with no chicken) and then an evening meal which resulted in us both vomiting into the early hours of the morning. Once the hotel were aware we were had been unwell, they were attentive in getting a doctor to us, and did keep calling us for the next 24 hours to see how we were. They of course tried to claim that the sickness was not as result of anything we had eaten at the hotel, claiming the doctor had told them that it was the weather that had caused the illness and stated that lots of the staff were unwell with it too. The drinks in the all inclusive were ok. The local beer is good and there was a reasonable selection of South African wines you could choose from by the glass or bottle. The cocktails were way too sweet for us, and low quality juices were used in the cocktails and at breakfast. We were intending to use the supplement restaurants during our stay, but the booking process was painfully difficult and unfriendly so we didn’t bother and instead decided to get taxis to Grand Baie and spend our money there instead. Because of this, we regretted having chosen a hotel that was so isolated and wish we had booked somewhere you where you can explore the local area by foot. What I found most surprising was the service. I was under the impression that Mauritius was known for its friendly people and high end level of service. Unfortunately, I would describe the overall service at this hotel as extremely lacklustre. Generally people were pleasant enough, but there was a fair amount of staff (25% at least) that were completely indifferent to downright rude. There were of course a few exceptions - in particular the chap who took drinks orders around the pool was always smiling and helpful. We also witnessed staff arguing amongst themselves too which y
