Stayed for one week. Sea view room with balcony - a must! Fantastic breakfast - nothing is too much trouble for the staff. You ask for it and they will most probably be able to make it. Beach club area is fantastic - seaside beds with access to sea as well as two infinity pools. We did not use the spa facilities. Shout out to Francesco one of the porters, he was so helpful - not just with our luggage but with restaurant recommendations as well as local things to do. And always with a lovely smile and cheery hello. Twice daily room service. Huge comfy bed. What’s not to like about this place. We would return.

No other hotel can possibly be better when it comes to the view over the bay and the Portofino peninsula. It is located up the hill, with a private sea water swimming pool and direct access to a private beach. We had a room with a balcony and sea view and we never tired of watching the lights come up, the sailing boats, the amazing beauty of the coast. Few reviewers mention it, but it should be said: in the 1930's a coastal road was built right along the beach and exposes Santa Margherita, as well as all the other great hotels all the way to Portofino to the non-stop noises of bikes and cars. The Imperiale nonetheless was a tremendous place to stay as is was a bit above from the road with great service. Make sure to dine once in the extraordinary, gourmet restaurant, Novecento. The gardens are lush, the service friendly. The bar/terrace menu was uneven, with marvelous food from the ”gourmet list” and bland white bread sandwiches that I would not have expected out of an Italian kitchen. You have to take a 7 mn. walk downhill to reach the town and the restaurants lining up the seafront. Enjoy them, going back up will take care of the calories. Our room was elegant and the marble bathroom perfect.

Everything was fabulous: location, super friendly, professional and efficient staff, very clean, elaborate breakfast options, hot tub on roof top so tranquil and beautiful view, w/in easy walk to city center of Camogli restaurants or food at the hotel restaurant is amazing as well. Easy walk to train station. Can’t express enough how wonderful and helpful the front desk staff was to answer all our questions with assistance and a huge smile. Thank you so much to each of them, everything was perfect for our full week stay.

We ate at the La Terrazza restaurant at this hotel. We had reservations and a taxi took us right to the door. I am honestly not used to this high end but I like it, a lot. The service, the food, and the views were all impeccable. We shared the agnolini stuffed with fish. It was, by far, the best dish we've eaten on this trip. We then each had a fish dish for the main course and a wonderful dessert. If you are prepared to treat yourselves, make reservations for lunch

This hotel lies north of Genoa city. Approximately 15-20 minutes of a boredom drive through the gutters of the city. A nice surprise when you see the hotel coming up uphill. Nice and convenient parking behind the hotel. The staff is very very friendly. Check-in' went quick. Elevators are slow. Wi-Fi is adequate. Room coverage is ok. The room itself is clean, basic+ and small-medium sized. Bed is ok, but I think the matrasses could be replaced. There is a modern and spacious gym in the hotel with great Technogym equipment. The breakfast is good to perfect and the staff serving and maintaining it is the best I had since a long time. I had a wonderful (business) stay at this hotel and will return. The even have electric car chargers, which is a plus!

The staff were all fantastic and very helpful at dealing with our requests, helping us book taxis etc. The room was clean and pleasant with a nice bathroom and shower, the continental breakfast buffet was great and the views from the pool were great. The booking system for the pool meant you had a guaranteed slot but could only use it once a day. It is a shame that it costs so much money to use the beach, particularly paying $50 for two sunbeds when there's only one of you. I would happily stay again if you could use the private beach for free as a guest.

The staff is super available and nice. The hotel is very comfortable and has a very good price. We ate at the La Terrazza restaurant at this hotel. We had reservations and a taxi took us right to the door. I am honestly not used to this high end but I like it, a lot. The service, the food, and the views were all impeccable. We shared the agnolini stuffed with fish. It was, by far, the best dish we've eaten on this trip. We then each had a fish dish for the main course and a wonderful dessert. If you are prepared to treat yourselves, make reservations for lunch

This place is memorable, but not for good reason. As a five-star hotel, you would expect great service, nice rooms, and amenities. This hotel has none. For a positive, I will say the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Much of the negative of the hotel has to do with the quality of the rooms, which is poor. The rooms only have a sheet - no duvet or comforter. Comfort-level of the beds is subjective, but it is objectively thin. Our room looked old and worn out. The ceiling looked like it had water damage, our toilet seat was cracked and the shower leaked water and was stained from the limestone in the water. Finally there were numerous flies and bugs. Additionally, there is no restaurant at the hotel, and no grounds to speak of, other than a small area near the jacuzzi. If you want to use the sister hotel's beach, it will cost an additional 50 Euro. This was the last stop of our honeymoon and we chose to stay at the hotel for the location in Portofino but away from the crowds, but it is not 5-star by any stretch, especially for the price of the hotel.

Except being in the middle of the sharp Green that gives Life, cleaning and human heat!!! We don't talk about EAT: great to say little, cooked at the moment (I still have nostalgia of that tomato salad of their garden, EAT NOT so BOONIII!!!). Breakfast is incomparableEEE: complete, abundant, almost alwaysee with home-made cakes (ask the Super mel cake of Rosanna and Daughter, SLURP 😋), each meal is UNICOOO and BUENISIMOOO!!! We stayed at Grande Albergo with our 11 month old son for 5 nights in July 2023. The beach town of Sestri Levante is truly a hidden gem and Grande Albergo was the perfect place to stay. The hotel’s location is ideal, just across from the beach and close to everything, including great restaurants. Rooms were very well-cleaned. But what really makes Grande Albergo great is its staff - everyone from the front desk, restaurant and beach staff to the cleaning staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Our son got sick during our trip, and the front desk was very quick to help us get a doctor appointment. Further, on the day we had to leave for the airport, there was a 24-hour train strike across Italy, and again the staff was quick to arrange a driver for us. In addition to being very service-minded, the staff at Grande Albergo are all very kind and made us feel very welcome. Recommend to book beach chairs in advance, as the beach (for good reason) is very popular. We will definitely be back!

One cannot ask for a better location in Old Town than where this Best Western is! It's very close to the Port, shops, and restaurants - all within the winding old streets of the old town. The room itself was fine - a basic hotel room with all the normal touches. One thing to note - we left our room right at check out (11am) and as we were standing by the elevator, two housekeeping women walked right into our room - as if to make sure we were gone. We've stayed in hundreds of hotels throughout the years and never saw this before. It obviously wasn't personal but I do suggest one leaves promptly or you'll get walked in on...
