President＇s Scout Campground Yakınındaki Minuwangoda Otelleri

Stayed for 2 weeks and loved the resort. Gardens were lush with many unusual plants and trees, including nut trees. Had it's own vegie garden which you could roam around. Highlight were the 2 resort horses who acted as lawn-mowers, roaming free with their handler not far behind. Food was amazing! True local cuisine and so fresh. Great variety and plentiful. Buffet style- breakfast, lunch and dinner- with desserts! Staff were so accomodating. If we asked for something, we would get it the next day. The restaurant was large, bright and clean. The bar was tucked away and you could go have lovely cocktails there, including the local Arak liquor. All the staff were friendly, ranging from the pool staff, gardeners, cleaners, reception and hospitality staff. Always ready with a smile. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and fresh with fans and air-conditioners (which you really needed). Beds were comfortable. Very spacious villa style units with large bathroom. I shared with a friend and it was very spacious. It felt like we were a world away. If you walked down a tree-lined driveway, you were on the busy main street with a supermarket within walking distance and many local shops. You could hire a tuk tuk or taxi if you wanted to visit other areas. Finally, the pool was fantastic, clean, large and warm, set in the lovely gardens. I thoroughly recommend it for a warm, welcoming stay in charming Sri Lanka.

Прекрасное место, чтоб остановиться в Негомбо! Особенно после перелета)) ОЧЕНЬ близко к аэропорту (15 минут на туктуке)! Красивая приотельная зона, просторные комнаты! Есть все необходимое для комфортного отдыха! Вкусный ресторан Sasha в пяти минутах ходьбы от отеля! Супермаркеты, сувенирные лавки, длинная береговая линия в 5-15 минутах на тук-туке! Вкусный завтрак был включён в стоимость! Хозяин отеля-Уди, прекрасный человек! Очень вежливый, участливый, супер-отзывчивый, всегда поможет, ответит на все вопросы, сделает все, что в его силах, чтоб ваш отдых в отеле был замечательным! Обожаю это место, людей! I arrived in the evening and left in the morning. I had breakfast and walked around on the beach without going to the swimming pool. Room: Very big, the bed is two meters wide (later I found out that all jetwing hotel beds are 2 meters wide). We originally wanted an extra bed, but the guy at the front desk suggested that we check the room first and then see if we want it. Extra bed... He can give an extra bed sheet in case three people are uncomfortable - a big thumbs up. Pushing open the balcony door and facing the beach and the sea directly, with a few coconut trees dotted around it and the sound of waves rumbling, I feel very good. The room facilities are old, but the hygiene level is good. There is no toothbrush provided. Because the first floor is close to the sea, there are very, very many mosquitoes. Please be sure to bring mosquito water. The breakfast is good. The standard of Sri Lankan catering is very low. I thought it was just average at first. Later, after completing the journey and staying in more and better hotels, I found that this place is not bad - the point is that this one is very, very cheap! Compared with other jetwings that often cost 1800+, the price/performance ratio is incredible. (Of course the overall level is definitely lower than jetwing yala and lighthouse)

Breakfast is generally but a large amount, relatively simple, medium and medium rules. The room is huge, the bathroom is huge, there are slippers, but there is no toothpaste toothbrush, no water, the hotel door has a small supermarket in a few tens of meters, it is convenient, there are food, there are fruits. The hotel is not far from the north of the lagoon, the hotel beach is good.

We had an amazing holiday in this beautiful resort. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Room was well equipped and comfortable with all the amenities. Nice sea view rooms. This is the best place in negambo if you search a relaxing holiday. Pool and surroundings are amazing. Restaurant staff were friendly and always with a smile. Special thank to chathuranga. It is one of the best places to relax and have a great break before the start of a hectic week and exams coming up. The food, staff & experiences were great, everything was perfect. The Sinhala New Year event was amazing as well as all the other amenities. Highly recommended if you are looking for a calm & cozy resort to relax and have a relaxed and peaceful mind.

This was the first placed we stayed when we arrived into Sri Lanka, after reading the good reviews we had high expectations and this guest house lived up to them. Arriving late from our flight we were welcomed with a cold drink and shown to our room. So clean and spacious and a really good shower! The host was so helpful in letting us know all about the buses into Negombo and on to Kandy. He couldn’t have been more helpful. I Would recommend this place to anyone :)

First of all, everyone who works is friendly and the food is clean and delicious The building is old but takes a lot of effort to clean up

This was my third stay at the Goldi Sands, honestly, the last time was nearly 20 years ago but I had such a great time back then I had high expectations. In the intervening 20 years, the hotel has had a revamp, double the size, double the number of swimming pools, added an elevator and they've removed the beach-fronted bungalows. All of which I think was a smart move and well worth doing. What has changed is the service and the catering. The staff are of course all very polite just that they didn't go the extra mile like they used to. We arrived late as our flight had been delayed, all I wanted was a couple of bottles of beer, they did arrive but I almost had to beg. I booked a taxi to the airport with the front desk, but they forgot, the waitresses at dinner were all about the hard upsell rather than serving. The breakfast as far as my memory serves me used to be awesome, today's breakfast is the same every day and lacks imagination, is poorly presented, and includes the worst coffee ever. The hotel has a confusing number of tariffs from all-inclusive to room only which means if you want to buy a drink it takes forever as they have to check your ”status” and then if you pay cash they have to go to the cashier as they carry no float. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable but basic. All in all it is still a good hotel to choose but sadly it is no longer in the memorable category.
