Joy Palace Hotel

Honestly it has potential but not good. In most places in Kenya we came across with very strict security at hotels, not this one, the door was always unlocked and when coming and going we didn’t always see security. Reception staff was nice on check in, but on the next day we’re knocking on our door about leaving when we had paid for late check out. The room was pretty dark, and the beds felt pretty dirty and the sheets made for us scratching, we did ask for new pillows cases because the ones provided initially were unacceptable. We had paid for breakfast at check in but got told no at the restaurant (more like a bar) and had to prove we did pay for it. The breakfast was very disappointing: it was only toast, butter egg and tomato. Tea and coffee as drinks, when requested a juice we were told not included. So no option of drinks when you don’t like coffee or tea.
