Fantastic hotel for seeing the Tulous in Fujian. Pricey, but worth it. Very charming with fantastic rooms. Just the walk along the stream to the hotel is an experience on its own. The little stream running past the hotel made it very peaceful. All inclusive (except for lunch) package designed for people to go explore the Tulous during the day, food was delicious in a great restaurant over looking the stream. The restaurant is semi open and the hotel was very attentive with insect repellent incense underneath the dining tables and insect repellent readily available for guests. At night the hotel took us up the river (15min walk) to go see fireflies at a spot over a bridge, amazing experience. They also set up a tent near just next to the bridge with drinks and cut fresh fruit available. The hotel is the epitome of what modern China should be like. It perfectly blends the old (restored old buildings) into new modern, tasteful functional buildings. Staff were attentive, quick to respond. Highly recommend.

This is the best experience of tulou (traditional dwellings) that you can do in the area - the tourist sites (Tianluokeng for example) are very busy during this season (National Day holidays) and the information on how to get there in buses are rare and not very explicit. So the cottage is very cute, the rooms are less well decorated but comfortable, functional and clean. The two sons, the youngest of whom speaks a little English, picked me up (for a fee) from Nanjing train station since there was no public transportation and the location is far from other cities (Zhangzhou). I stayed two nights and recommend dinner once. The breakfast is also plentiful. The hosts are very welcoming. I really enjoyed spending time in this gîte, with the little table where you can drink tea at any time of the day. You absolutely must visit Taxia at night, it’s idyllic! And in the morning, you can walk to the top of the hill, it’s very beautiful, very green.

There are many parking spaces. This location is rare in Taxia Village, and the entrance is beautiful. A short walk up is the Xiaoqiaoliu Shui Restaurant, which is affordable and delicious. The scenery is good. Good service in the store. After taking a bath and boiling hot water for 3 minutes, I called the boss. The boss answered the phone in the middle of the night. He said that the boiler was on the first floor and waited for the pipeline to open the sink together. The hot water was faster. Here comes. I didn't pay attention to the time for breakfast. The boss waited until we went downstairs at 11:30, and the breakfast was still there. Before leaving, help send the items at the front desk and wait for SF Express to collect them in the afternoon. With the many private residences in Hakka Tulou, it is not easy to find such a spacious and beautifully decorated room. There is a public swing and a rest view. The one who lived more cautiously was that the fixed rain shower head of 202 couldn't adjust the water column, and finally gave up trying and held the shower head with it. For proper water temperature, the switch angle should be adjusted more carefully. What can be taken to the next level is that in the off-season, you can check the room before the tenant moves in. Maybe it was because hungry flying insects fell off and stuck to the quilt, there were dried water stains on the toilet lid, and there was dust in the remote control box. It doesn’t affect the residence. It’s some picky details, and I didn’t contact the boss at the moment. If I do, I believe the boss will help clean it immediately. Overall, the location decoration and service are very good, the cleanliness is perfect in the details, 4 drills are properly dropped~

I am satisfied with the room lighting, toiletries, bedding comfort, and accommodation safety; it is really good! It is recommended to book on a book, much better than expected. We planned to spend one night at the Lotus Land but we ended up spending 3 nights instead. The hotel is very well located, very clean and the staff was great! We had so many cloths to be washed and once asked the girl from reception some help, she took us to their laundry room and helped us out washing our cloths without any extra fee. I strongly suggest you to stay at this hotel if u plan to visit the Tulou cluster in Fujian.

This place is a gem! Located in Taxia village, rooms are above a wine brewery. It is very clean, comfortable & cosy, equipped with heater (it’s winter) brightly lit if you’re looking to stay at the hakka village. The village itself is very beautiful both during the day and night. The owner is kind and polite who waited for us despite a very late check-in. We had a taste of her Chinese wine after dinner and they were all very good! I especially liked the plum and white wine. Bought them and they were packed nicely to withstand air travels. Highly recommended place to stay, a nice experience staying here! Wished we had more time. For breakfast you can go to the restaurant opposite which served very nice dishes. The villagers are very friendly too!
