It’s not only an authentic Bai minority village but also a beautiful, peaceful place to disconnect from stress. If you’re looking for a truly clean 👍🏻, comfortable stay with peaceful nature views in Shaxi, this is your place. This family-run Bai guesthouse shows real care and investment in every detail, from spotless rooms to thoughtful touches that make you feel at home. The beds and pillows are genuinely comfortable, and quiet nights guarantee real rest. Amenities here are better than anywhere else we stayed in Yunnan, and unlike listings that overpromise, this place truly delivers on cleanliness. The free shuttle to Shaxi Old Town (5-7 min) is a big plus. We were upgraded to a better room, enjoyed simple Western touches at breakfast, and were invited to dinner with fresh homegrown produce 😍. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We highly recommend this guesthouse and hope to return soon, confident they will keep up the quality and warm hospitality we experienced. —————— ¡Detente si reservaste solo una noche! I had a very pleasant stay at 沙溪归尘 and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Shaxi who is looking for a clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully run homestay. Room & Facilities The house is very clean and well maintained — everything feels new and well cared for. My room was cozy and comfortable, and the bed was especially nice, which helped me rest well. One thing I really appreciated was that the room even had a washing machine, which is a big plus for longer trips. The garden is also lovely and adds to the calm, relaxed atmosphere of the place. Breakfast & Thoughtful Touches Breakfast was prepared by the owner, and the 米线 (mixian) was honestly the best I had during my entire Yunnan trip — comforting, well-balanced, and made with care. Before bedtime, the owner even brought us a warm glass of milk 🥛, which was such a thoughtful and heart-warming gesture. Location & Morning Mist at 玉津桥 One important thing to note for travelers who plan to catch the morning mist or sunrise at 玉津桥: the homestay does not provide early-morning transfer services, only after 9:00am. The homestay is about 1.5km from 玉津桥, so it’s important to arrange your own transport in advance (for example, 小黄车). I learned this a bit late — at around 7:30am — and almost missed the sunrise timing. Walking there in the early morning was very cold and takes about 30minutes for 1.5km. Luckily, I after walked for a while I met a very kind local let’s call him “小白车师傅” who had just dropped his child at school near the homestay. He generously gave me a free ride to the bridge. Thanks to him, I managed to make it in time. Minor Miscommunication At check-in, I was told there would be unlimited transfers to Shaxi Ancient Town, so I assumed that an early drop-off closer to the town (and then walking to the bridge) might be possible. However, in the morning, the owner needed to stay back to prepare breakfast and couldn’t leave. This was a small miscommunication, and it would be helpful if early-morning transport limitations were clarified more clearly in advance. Overall Impression Other than this minor issue, my stay at 沙溪归尘 was truly pleasant. The cleanliness, comfort, homemade breakfast, and thoughtful details made it a very warm and memorable experience. I would still happily recommend this homestay and would consider staying again — just with early transport planned ahead next time.

We had an unforgettable stay here — by far the best hotel of our journey through China. From the very beginning, the owner gave us the warmest welcome. The room was beautifully decorated with great taste, and we especially enjoyed the large balcony, perfectly arranged with two chairs, a table, and even a lounge bed. The bathroom was extremely pleasant, modern and spotless, and even equipped with state-of-the-art Japanese toilets — a real luxury during our trip. The owner went far beyond our expectations: she personally accompanied us on a walk through the forest to a truly picturesque village, providing fascinating explanations along the way. She also took care of our laundry, and when it came time to pay, she kindly told us that everything was included in the price of the room. The breakfast was simply royal, with great variety and generous portions. Throughout our stay, we were constantly surprised by the generosity of the service: all drinks (including bottled orange juice), as well as fruits, pastries, and other homemade treats she offered us, were completely free of charge. This hotel is an absolute gem, and we recommend it wholeheartedly.

首先，選這家是因為它的自然田園風光和白族老屋設計。住在古鎮太喧囂了，商業化氛圍過重，這裏離古鎮不遠，又貼近白族村民生活，盡享田野裏的風和風景。 其次，這裏自己有一個平坦的停車場，對於底盤低的車也非常友好。 而且，老闆人很好，可以使用廚房，對於總吃飯館的遊客，有時候很自己想煮一點吃。 這次時間有限，計劃有機會來長住半個月。

很值得的一次住宿！ 房間環境很好，雖然雲南温差大，但是房間很温暖也很乾凈。還有小童友好的洗護用品。 早上老闆娘還給提供給我們雲南本地的早餐，很豐盛而且很健康！ 整個院子真的超漂亮，拍照很出片。 停車也很方便，外面隨便停空間很大！ 老闆娘還有一衹加菲貓，叫歡歡，特別可愛！ 很不錯的一次住宿，下一次來沙溪也會住這裏的，推薦大家入住，很不錯的一次體驗！

從沒見過這麼貼心又耐心的老闆，衹要有時間，就帶着我們到處走，給客人當司機當導遊，妥妥的沙溪活地圖，給我們介紹的咖啡館簡直不要太滿意太驚喜，老闆娘和老闆的媽媽也是親和力好強，每天早餐都問我們吃不吃這吃不吃那，熱情認真的接待每一個客人！客棧的設施非常棒，房間都很大，乾乾淨淨，細節感很強，晚上老闆還會招呼我們去圍爐烤火聊天，這樣的客棧真的太太太讓人喜歡和難忘！我們一定還會再來的！！柯爾鴨鴨等着我們喲

We had an enjoyable stay at Mooncreek Shaxi hotel. On arrival, the hotel staff came out to carry our luggage to the room. We were given a free upgrade to a larger room. Thank you very much. The room is very spacious. N surrounding quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting in the yard to enjoy the sun. The room has floor heating and additional aircon for really chilly days. The charging socket for handphones are pretty fast when compared to our Dali hotel. It was a 5-7min walk to Shaxi town and Yujin bridge. So it was easy to grab lunch and dinner in the town. Hotel breakfast is not bad. They have Chinese set and western set for guests to choose from. N more at the buffet table. They also provide free 6 pieces of laundry per room, though it cannot be socks or underwear. The hotel helped us call the yellow tuktuk to take us to the Xianfeng bookshop. It’s a reasonable 15rmb per way. Coming back, add the WeChat of the driver and WeChat him when u are done to pick u up. Things to note: the immediate surrounding is quite run down but inside the hotel, it’s very nicely designed. Things to improve: no full length mirror in the room. N maybe a rug to instill a sense of warmth in the room. Overall a value for money hotel when you visit Shaxi!

沙溪的宋風美學酒店！贊👍 有風的地方-沙溪古鎮 一間很有意思的民宿，裝修整體風格有感覺 老闆很年輕，熱情周到客氣禮貌，主要是一個人忙裡忙外一直不停招呼客人，很有家的氣息。 房間裏的每一樣擺設很有講究，很喜歡房間裏用的都是一次性毛巾，洗漱用品也很不錯。 房間有不同的佈局，一樓二樓共有14間，記得早點定，好房間經常沒有。我們很幸運，老闆看見我們帶娃，給我們主動升級和安排房間。感謝🙏 酒店提供早餐，早餐時美麗的小姐姐每天都主動問你要不要咖啡。晚上還有雞尾酒隨便喝，大廳裏爐火烤着很温暖。 酒店老闆提供了沙溪古鎮很多可以優惠的商家優惠政策。服務很到位！ 老闆大方得很，民宿也很美，住的很舒服，來沙溪好好感受下吧

We love this little Gem. it was a short walk from where the car dropped us off . The lady was so accommodating to us and gave us recommendations on what to do. Our room had a living area on the side and traveling with my 2 girls 10 & 12, this was good space. We love how centrally located the place was from the mainstreet where all resturants and shops were. This is a very small and quaint ancient town compared to the ones in DALI, LIJIANG etc. All ancient towns will have at least 2 exits (sometimes 4) Like, we can go for a walk and come back to use the bathroom and head back out again to the other direction. I feel safe to let my kids navigate their way round on their own and send them out to buy their own food to come back to the shared courtyard in our property to eat. They even have some toys for toddlers up onthe second floor where there is a seating area. you can do your laundry here and dry it and being in a dryer climate. clothes tend to dry really fast. I will come back again to this property if we visit Shaxi Zhen again. The town is so charming property easily accessed.
