"很漂亮的小別墅，我預訂的單人間，房間雖然小，住一晚也足夠了。 2樓的客廳很英倫，喜歡。 早餐中規中矩是傳統英式早餐，一大堆根本吃不完。 房東Lucy很和藹可親，唯一不足的是暖氣間斷供暖，晚上睡覺比較冷，我把羽絨服啥也蓋在被子上才暖和點，可能是床離窗子太近了，是真冷。 另外，衞生間的電熱毛巾架也是間斷供熱的 離鎮中心有點點距離，另外我房間還殘留上個住客的垃圾，真環保。總體來説還是不錯"

"I have grave misgivings about hotels in the busiest parts of the Lake District, especially at holiday times. Obviously they will be relentlessly overcrowded, with harassed and unfriendly staff. I’ve wanted to go back to the Proper Lake District for a while though so took a risk on the King’s Head. It’s easy to find on the ear popping main road up from Grasmere, just beyond the impressive hulk of Steel Fell, close to Thirlemere. Parking anywhere in the Lakes is hideous and expensive. Not here. Relaxed and plenty of room. It’s a long building with a pleasant bar restaurant area and beer garden. I found a rather pleasant residents lounge where a lady called Jo checked me in and made me feel welcome. It does get busy with passing trade but the staff look after their residents. They flogged me decent real ale and Jura whisky (the proper stuff). Breakfast is briskly table served from a menu and is well presented. I didn’t eat otherwise there but the food is popular and well priced. The road outside is busy and a bit of a racetrack, and the occasional fighter jet roars between the mountains on low altitude practice, but the relentless bleating of the sheep opposite soon returns things to normal. I was a little sorry to depart, but the manager said he hoped I would come again. I believe I will, and will even bring my wife."

"I have only good things to say! Room was very spacious and lovely for the both of us and had everything you needed. We stayed in a triple room for 2 of us (but in the end room had 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds but no problems with that of course). Bed was very comfortable, shared showers and toilets outside were clean, spacious and bright. Counter staff Matt in particular was incredibly helpful and friendly, and helped us figure out a way to hike Blencathra via Sharp Edge in the morning, informed us of bus availabilities and schedules etc. They also allowed us to store luggage with them while we hiked and allowed us to use their toilets and showers to freshen up after the hike. We also had lunch there and food was delicious!! Really great hotel very value for money. Thank you!"

"We drove here with our dog, and it was a fantastic stay! The hotel is about a 10-minute drive from the town centre, but the scenery is stunning, and both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. The room was small but cosy, and they allow dogs for a very small extra fee, which was great. Every member of staff was incredibly friendly, and the food at the partner restaurant really impressed me—it even made me fall in love with British food all over again! For the price and experience, this trip felt absolutely perfect. I loved every moment of it!"

"這是我在英國住過最好的酒店。説實話，在湖區這個地段這個房價已經是很划算了——地理位置也很好，慢慢走路10分鐘到湖邊碼頭，周圍有很多烘焙店和餐館，但酒店所處位置很安靜舒適。關鍵是！！房間雖然小！但是一塵不染！guest lounge和餐廳也很可愛！下次應該還會選擇這裏"

"Traditional Lake District hotel. Location was perfect for wandering around Keswick. My room was warm and had a lovely view of snow capped hills. Tea and coffee making facilities were available. Bed was very comfortable and facilities in the room were clean. Decor in the hotel is traditional country style. Check in was quick, a few stairs to climb to my room. The lady who served breakfast was very cheerful and friendly, despite us arriving very close to service closing. An excellent breakfast was served. The car park is small but managed to park my car and was allowed to leave it there for a few hours after check out so I could explore Keswick. A comfortable one night stay. Thank you."
