"We stayed here the night before we ventured to the Kumano Kodo. It was perfect for this: it’s located right next to the train station which makes arriving by train and leaving by bus quite easy. Also, the restaurants and izakayas are close by so you can have a good evening with your travel companions. The staff was very friendly, the rooms very clean und the breakfast ok. I’d book again!"

"It was my first experience of Japanese hot springs and I enjoyed it a lot. First of all, I'd like to thank a male staff who met me during check-in. He welcomed me warmly, explained all the details of my stay and helped to carry my bag to the room. Unfortunately, the female personnel wasn't that much friendly the next day when I asked for some help with my luggage. The rooms have a splendid view of a forest and a river, old style Japanese but with some modern facilities. The meal aren't a traditional Ryokan type but are still quite enjoyable with sushi and wagyu beef as a starter. In general, I can say it's a mix of traditional Japanese and moredn western style hotel in one. If you're lucky and avoid the days when the hotel is crowded you'd be able to enjoy the river view from the onsed in quiet. Unfortunately, the water in the outdoor wasn't as clear as I expected. But the rest was just amazing."

"很好的温泉酒店。三人訂的和式榻榻米房間，一泊二食。房間夠大，帶衞生間和洗漱台，但沒有獨立 的浴室，洗澡需要到5樓的温泉浴池，有室內和室外浴池，室外浴池泡着非常舒服。晚餐懷石料理，屬於日式清淡的風味，9點以後有免費宵夜擔擔麪，味道還不錯，衹是和真正的四川擔擔麪相差甚大。早餐是自助餐，日式和西式都有，飲食很豐富。從田邊站到酒店沒有直達的大巴，坐出租車過去1700多日元。酒店在海邊，可以觀賞海景和海上鳥居，風景不錯。"

"I was about to give bad reviews due to some poor check-in experience, but everything after check in is so good that compensates this journey. First, the check-in process that brings me with bad experience: it is self-served and there is no any staff. By rights you should receive an instruction email with check-in PIN in advance, which I heard from other guests. However, I didn’t receive anything but Trip’s confirmation letter and I was unable to check in. And my sim card in Japan is just an internet card unable to make phone calls, which means I have no way to contact the hotel directly. My partner and I were desperately locked out of the hotel in the evening, after 7h hiking, with no other available hotel in the mountain. After waiting for over 1 hour, other guests helped us to enter the admin room where there is an ipad to call the hotel (why not make it available to guests without checking in?), and with the help of Trip’s agency, we finally checked in successfully. Then here is the staying experience: so good that makes me almost forgive the poor check-in experience. Each room is a spacious individual house and ours has a garden for BBQ. The food is also self-served, with the cooking stuffs and ingredients in the fridge. It was unexpected that you need to cook yourself (I don’t think it was listed on room info when I booked it), but it’s not bad that Wagyu, chicken, and vegetables are served. The rooms are big and cozy, and you can do the laundry after hiking. Everything is good about the hotel itself, just be aware of the self-checkin process and make sure you get the instructions before that."

"This hotel is okay, it was a bit dingy and the room smelt a little bit of smoke - but I was totally fine with that because you get to use the great onsen at the partner hotel next door (spent my time there), and the area was really nice. I liked it as a cheap option along the kumano kodo."

"Amazing service from the moment we arrived to the date of our departure. Staff is very attentive. Food is amazing and presented well. Location is serene and a great change from the big cities. Rooms are perfect and just the type of Japanese village rooms and decor we were hoping for."

"這個房間是因為之前預訂的旅店在我出發的前一天沒有確認訂單後我唯一的選擇，也成為了我這次熊野古道中邊路全踏破的完美開局。出了車站就碰見來接我的太田先生（60歲），簡單交流後他給我一本要到熊野古道館才能買到的小冊子，並且上面已經把古道外圍最遠的一個章蓋了，今天新手村的任務就是NPC帶我把其他兩個章蓋好，並讓我先嚐試2小時的山道徒步為明天的出發熱身。 太田先生全程熱情解説並沒有收取我額外任何的費用，距離他家步行3分鐘有羅森的便利店，我買了很多補給和晚餐，誰知道我住的房間裏早已被塞滿各種免費暢飲的飲料。房間安排在二樓，有廁所，但洗澡洗衣服要去樓下。房間面積超大，比我在京都的家還要大一點，晚上陽台可以看到完美山谷日落噢！廁所有點年代感但非常的乾淨，廁紙也是超厚香香的！浴室和洗面池配的各種洗漱用品齊全到可以不用打開洗刷包了！ 忙了一下午的太田先生晚餐衹是簡單的泡麪和肉丸，這讓我有點過意不去。晚餐後我們聊了很久，太田先生居然是半個中國通，如果大家有機會入住請多和他交流吧。 雖然這裏看起來離出發點有點距離，但有羅森便利店的加持和太田先生的熱情款待，這裏絕對是熊野古道出發的幸運地！我非常推薦！"

"Все понравилось. Формат отеля интересный конечно. Завтрак и ужин вкусные, встречающий мужик хорошо говорит на Английском, доброжелательный и очень вежливый, в отеле есть 2 приватных онсена что кайф, туалеты общего формата (мужской и женский раздельно), но это не проблема, ибо в отеле мало номеров и людей не может быть прям много, автобусная остановка рядом, ну и наружный онсен практически под окнами."
