Pingyao Zhonghuixuan Inn (Gucheng South Street Shilou Branch)

We stayed at thos lovely hotel. Lovingly restored by the current owner Mr Wang. He is the 6th generation owner of the property. Until 10 years ago it was a derelict and dilapidated building. He poured money, time, blood, sweat and tears to restore it And it does feel and look like a traditional house. You feel you are going back in time. Firstly the customer service is way beyond the call of duty. Its so good, i would recommend staying with mr Wang at whatever hotel he runs. He picked us at the Lower East Gate, and brought us to the hotel, then took nearly half an hour to explain in great detail where we need to visit, whether the sights be in the city or outside the city. Some of his suggestions, not on the tour books were very good . For example he suggested 3 restaurants, and we avoided them thinking he was getting a kickback.on our 4th and last day we tried restaurant no 2 of his. And it was good , the food and service were good. The prices were average with other restaurants and we got a 10% discount being the hotel's guests. And remember we had eaten 10 meals by the time we came to his suggestions. Another suggestion of Mr Wang was Ma family home - also a very good tip from him. Everytime we had a request or question he always responded with enthusiasm. On our last day we checked out at 4am and he still took us to the pick up point at that ungodly hour. Yep Mr and Mrs Wang's customer service is just first class. The room was large, queen deluxe double, and the furnishings were traditional chinese furniture made of Rosewood. Very Expensive furniture for a hotel room. Shower worked well and was hot. However be aware its chinese style wet floor system ie there is no shower curtain between the shower and a small part of the bathroom does get wet if youare not careful. MR Wang said it will be one his improvement on his priority list. Hopefully by the time you booked the problem will have been resolved The hotel is very close to the main streets. About 5 min walk. The city of pingyao is worth visiting, it is one of the very walled cities left in China, with its old buildings intact and people still living it. All the city walls are also intact. Magnificent at night.

Really nice place, but as for most hotels, you cannot expect the staff to speak English (not a problem for me, but if you don't speak any Chinese be prepared). Location is great as it is around 2 minutes walk from 南大街/South Street and all the main museums and courtyards. The owners were very friendly and helpful, making time to explain all the places to see and were to eat. They can even help with good discounts, e.g. for the historical-themed performance '又见平遥'/Encore Pingyao as well as for restaurants. The hotel is in a beautiful traditional courtyard, very quiet area so you will sleep well at night. The room has traditional furniture, adding to the atmosphere, and while small (but good value for the price) was comfortable. The bed is a so-called 'kang' with heating - it was so comfortable in the cold winter that it was hard to get out of bed in the morning! Part of the floor has heating too. The cleanliness is good too. I would really recommend this place, very good atmosphere and with everything you need to be comfortable.

帶着公婆去平遙入住的一家非常有特色的客棧！古香古色的四合院落滿地鋪的都是古磚，整體榫卯結構突出了平遙晉商富貴講究的特色！晚上燈火璀璨，非常漂亮出片！老闆是個地地道道的平遙人，會第一時間聯繫客人，會去古城外免費開車接送店內客人，也是唯一一個會詳細介紹平遙古城各處景點知識的老闆！入住他家會給你一份逛遊古城的詳細攻略！從五A級景點到性價比排名前三的老字號飯莊都一一介紹，而且出門時老闆還會提醒拿上專屬的吃飯打折卡，非常貼心！老闆娘年輕漂亮，細緻能幹！臨走時還送了山西老陳醋的伴手禮！他家的地缸窖藏53度一定要嚐嚐，香醇不上頭！老陳醋更是上品！而且他家離主街南大街（市樓）非常非常近，但晚上又沒有主街那麼吵，是個不可多得的五星客棧！下次去平遙還住他家👍👍

用心經營的客棧，安全衞生，離南大街東大街都是一出門走兩步就到了的距離。有巨好的老闆和老闆娘，還有吃飯購物的隱形福利。老闆會詳細的進行遊玩講解，來了先“上課”，第一次來的朋友從入住起就能直接解鎖遊玩的攻略了。下次還會選擇的地方，推薦給大家。

房間離古城南大街幾十米，很方便。院子鬧中取靜，古色古香，房子一塵不染。老闆人很熱情，入住後第一時間講解了古城歷史和遊玩攻略。旅途中遇到了些小問題，老闆熱心幫忙給予瞭解決。 尤其是城外停車場接送服務，很貼心👍

店的位置很優越，出門右轉就是南大街，很繁華的一條街，但是晚上睡覺不會聽到聲音。配圖就是客棧整體裝潢，很地道，很有平遙特色。老闆很靠譜，停車場接送提供了便利。最重要的一點就是如果你沒有做任何攻略就來了平遙古城，你首選這一家店，因為老闆會告訴你如何玩。炕很暖和，也有空調，怕冷的姐妹也可以看過來這家客棧

首先衞生很乾凈，一處很漂亮的老院子，錯峯出行價格也好，老闆是本地人，會耐心講解還贈送地圖，可以開車接送古城門口，走時候還會送醋，的確衞生間有些反味，不過可以找老闆要個塑料袋，晚上裝上水放在地漏處就解決了。出門在外自己動手解決困難吧，

這個院子是房主自己老宅改造，裝修很不錯，拍照很出片，房東服務很好，會給詳細介紹和地圖攻略，店裡還會提供人氣餐廳折扣券，選了很久選了這家，體驗還是不錯的

Très bel hôtel et équipe formidable, je recommande ! Le propriétaire est adorable. Il a gentiment pris le temps de m’expliquer l’histoire de cette cité, comme le ferait un guide touristique. Il connaît très bien son sujet, et il utilise son application de traduction pour être compris. Il m’a indiqué les points d’intérêts, conseillé des restaurants. Au moment du départ, il m’a déposé en voiture, en dehors de la vieille ville, pour que je puisse trouver facilement un taxi. Bref, super séjour n’hésitez pas à réserver ici !
