All the hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. When checking out, they even gave us a souvenir and drove us back to the high-speed train station. Full marks, I'll definitely stay here again next time!"

"The location inside the old city is fantastic. The hotel itself, at night, is dreamful. It's not brand new though, a bit dusty, but we really loved our stay there. We had the beautiful family room. The beds of the kids were too hard (too thin mattress), but ours were ok. I recommend."

The son was very helpful in coordinating our travels and train station pick up, and the father went above and beyond in picking us up from the train station, and he suggested a walking route of the entire ancient city. Breakfast, served in our room by the mother, was delicious. Overall, a wonderful experience! Highly recommended!"

"My children (18/16 yo) stayed at Pingyuan Mansion for two nights. Our taxi from the Pingyao railway dropped us at the South Gate of the city wall. He called the hotel, who sent a trolley to pick up as they were not allowed inside the city wall. It has two lovely courtyards. Our room had automations everything. Breakfast was amazing for those who like of varieties of small dishes. The staff made arrangements to drop us off the railway. It is only a few alleys away from the excitements of street vendors, music, sit down restaurants and shops. You won’t be disappointed staying with them. Truly an authentic Pingyao stay."

"The hotel is full of the style of the Republic of China. Being in it, you feel like traveling through time. If you like cheongsam, you can wear a cheongsam and take a beautiful photo. The room is spacious and elegant and classical. The breakfast is rich, with both Chinese and Western food, which can satisfy the taste buds. The price of lunch and dinner is moderate, the tableware is disinfected, clean and hygienic, and there are various cuisines. The taste is good and worth trying. The large-scale live performance "See Pingyao Again" is near the hotel, only about 5 minutes walk."

"My stay at this hotel was wonderful. The room was absolutely beautiful and allowed me to experience the authentic atmosphere of traditional China. It was thoughtfully divided into a living area and a sleeping area, making it both spacious and comfortable. The elegant furniture, decorations, and sculptures added a unique charm to the room. The bathroom was excellent as well, featuring both a bathtub and a separate shower. The staff at the reception spoke English very well, making communication easy throughout my stay. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the main attractions of beautiful Pingyao. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic stay in the heart of the city."

"The inn provides breakfast, which is convenient for family travel. The decoration style in the inn is very distinctive, with a strong Shanxi merchant culture style, which also lays the foundation for the travel photography provided by the inn. It is the first choice for travel photography. The location of the inn is quiet in the hustle and bustle. It is a five-minute walk to the bustling area of the ancient city center, and it is very quiet to rest at night. The inn's operators, everyone brings you joy and warmth. The big kang room is very special, and you can experience it for family travel. The only drawback is that the room is slightly small, which is understandable for an old house. Here are a few real pictures of the inn for reference. Generally speaking, it is recommended."

"We just left this amazing place and already want to come back. The hotel itself could not be located more conveniently - directly in the Ancient town but very close to the New Dongmen exit which makes it super easy to access the road where you can take a cab from, a few minutes walking distance from the South Gate and surrounded by plenty of great restaurants. The young couple who run the hotel are excellent hosts, kind, pleasant and super helpful. Thank you for everything. Highly recommended place."

Even though its very central, the rooms are in a back garden so its very peacefull and quiet. The room was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable! The person working at the teception supported us with anything we asked, it felt like a piece of authentic chinese hospitality! I can only recommend this beautiful Inn to anyone visiting Pingyao!"

A special shout-out for the thoughtful disposable bath towels and hand towels in the room – very reassuring to use. A fantastic accommodation choice for Pingyao!"

"Clean and bright room. Staff are very helpful especially Mr 胡春 and front desk assistant/suoervisor. Booked a 7am high speed train and need to leave hotel at 6am. Mr 胡春and team member prepared steam bun for us to bring along as we do not have time for the breakfast. Breakfast is good. Decent breakfast choices. Love it when they have self operated laundry/dryer machine located at 4th floor. Laundry aunty doesn’t mind helping to delivery the washed and dried laundry back to room. Good service, good attitude, willing to help!"

"The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the service was outstanding – incredibly warm and attentive to every detail. They truly went above and beyond to accommodate any request. They even offered pick-up and drop-off service to Pingyao Ancient City High-speed Rail Station, which was very thoughtful and welcoming. The hotel's location is fantastic, just a 5-minute walk from the North Gate, making it super convenient. It's also easy to get to Pingyao Theater and the South Gate of Pingyao Ancient City. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. If you're coming to Pingyao, this is the place to stay! They even extended our check-out to 3 PM, so there was no rush at all, and they provided breakfast for the kids. A truly satisfying experience. We'll definitely be back next time!"
