Initially we booked 4 nights here with a plan to extend our stay or move on somewhere else. We were a bit concerned with some of the negative reviews but it definitely looked our sort of place - a small property with stunning beachside location that offered a limited facility all-inclusive. Well, we arrived after the 12 hour flight from London to be told they were overbooked and we’d been “upgraded” to their sister hotel, Preskil Island Resort (see separate review). Our brief view of Astroea Beach left us wanting more and so after assurances from Southern Cross that we would not be overbooked again, we decided to spend the remaining 5 nights of our Mauritius holiday here. Accommodation We booked a 2 bedroom bungalow and were allocated 205 which has a direct sea view and easy access to beach. It looks like rooms have been spruced up with comfy, but firm beds and a newish sofa in the lounge. There is a mini bar fridge, included on the all inclusive package (beer and soft drinks topped up daily). The bathroom had a new loo and washbasin but the tiles seem to be have been part painted in emulsion by a small child or visually impaired person. The grouting is pretty grim too. The electric shower is an instant Triton heater so water pressure is compromised . There is no hot water into the bungalow so I had to boil the kettle in order to shave in the wash basin, but this was no real hassle. There was an air conditioner in each bedroom which was effective, albeit noisy. Despite some poor decoration in the bathroom, everything was kept spotlessly clean. Food and Beverage We loved the small, part-open restaurant directly above the beach. Breakfast had a selection of fruit, cereal, pastries, bread etc with a toaster for the bread. There was a bean coffee machine if you wanted something different to the filter coffee and tea was served in a teapot, essential for us Brits. There was a number of hot items for order including great omelettes, eggs, sausage (chicken), bacon and crepes. Lunch was a good choice menu of salads, pasta, burger, fish and paninis. The choice of all-inclusive items was more limited and did not seem to have a logic as to why they were included or not, but we loved the fish “burger” which was actually a large fillet of sea bream. Dinner was 3 courses with a choice of 2 items for each course, which you selected at breakfast time. This was absolutely fine by us and avoided food waste. All food was freshly prepared (with love) and cooked to order from the tiny kitchen, so this could take time, which was absolutely no problem when you had the amazing view and you are on holiday. The all inclusive drinks were good for the price point. The wine was Cape Bay South African which was perfectly OK. Phoenix lager was on draft and there was even large glasses (0.6l). I had the sheer pleasure of staying at the Constance Belle Mare Plage for 10 days in April with my now-fiancée, an experience that exceeded our expectations in every possible way. From the moment we arrived, the tranquil paradise of Mauritius embraced us, matched only by the outstanding service and attention to detail provided by the hotel staff. The central figure orchestrating our memorable stay was Adasha, who is truly the embodiment of hospitality. Whether it was our daily breakfast service, ensuring our comfort throughout the day, or even arranging an incredibly romantic proposal setup, she attended to every detail with remarkable diligence and warmth. Her dedication and care made her not just a wonderful hostess but a cherished part of our experience. We rate her an emphatic 10+/10. Equally remarkable was Kailash. With his innate knack for arranging romantic breakfasts and dinners in our room, his charismatic presence as he drove us around the resort in his buggy, and his assertiveness that ensured all our needs were met, he was instrumental in making our holiday complete. His personable demeanor is a true credit to the hotel. Our appreciation extends to the room service team as well. Koomar, Veenaye, Joanne, Tarvesh, Nitesh, and Sanjeev all contributed to facilitating a seamless and unforgettable experience. Their collective attention to detail, promptness, and friendly demeanor were remarkable. However, the standout personality and the heart of the Constance Belle Mare Plage was Kris. You will find him on the beach, armed with an unbeatable selection of cocktail recommendations. His mixology skills are top-notch, and his engaging conversations coupled with a fantastic sense of humor made our beach days exceptionally memorable. Kris was not only an employee of the hotel but became a friend who enriched our stay. In summary, our experience at the Constance Belle Mare Plage was truly magical, fueled by the unwavering dedication of its staff, the beauty of its surroundings, and the exceptional level of service that made us feel like royalty. We have created unforgettable memories here, and we can’t wait to return next year. If you’re considering a trip to Mauritius, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Located in the southern Taihao Hotel, we stayed for three days to set a package for breakfast and dinner! First of all, the hotel environment, the overall white, people feel very comfortable, and there is a river in the hotel, in the evening there are singers singing and rowing in the bed, the scenery is pleasant, the overall environment is still very comfortable. Next, let's say that the service is not very satisfactory~ The reception service at the beginning made us sit down and drink the drink check in. It is quite good, but it will not work later. First, the extra bed was not added until the evening. Later, it was reminded for a long time before the room card was broken. It was repeated three times before it was done. The children's slippers and scissors were added to the third day when they left. The overall service feels. I can't reach it, I don't know if it is the reason for the full house! The dinner was said to be available in the other three restaurants, and the results were not available. However, it is good to not pick up the gold. Once it was completely packaged in the restaurant, there was a lot of cash inside. Later, I was told that I was at the front desk and I was sent back. This is worthy of praise. Finally, talk about hygiene. After washing the kettle in the room, there is still a lot of garbage coming out. I thought it was a problem with water quality. After drinking it for two days, I found a filter inside. The filter is full of rubbish, really too Disgusting, it seems that the kettle should be used after washing. The beachside water facilities in the hotel are free to rent, the coastline is very long, there are two large reefs on it, the water quality is good, it is still very fun. The hotel is close to the dolphins, so it’s an advantage at 8:30 in the morning!

The location is good, the hotel can provide free snorkeling service, you can also see a lot of fish snorkeling next to the hotel, the sea is very clear, great.

Small family orientated hotel. Perfect location. 5 minutes walk to a shopping mall and 10 minutes to the beach. Friendly staff who are very helpful. The rooms are cleaned most days to a high standard. Our room , more like an apartment. had an en-suite, kitchenette with cooking facilities, sofa, TV, dining table, and fridge, and a balcony with table and chairs. Lovely small pool with plenty of sun loungers . Perfect for small families and couples. We would love to stay there again.

The most cost-effective hotel I have been to Hilton during the Spring Festival. Shangri-La and other hotels. Although it is much more luxurious than this, this hotel is located in the Blue Bay beach and has a private island like Shangri-La. It is the best place for the entire Mauritius coral to see the smallest fish. It can be said that building a mid-range hotel here is simply a waste.

For the first stop of the honeymoon trip in Mauritius, I chose a relatively quiet and close to the south shore. When choosing a hotel, I always think that the expensive hotel is the best when I choose the hotel. When I moved to the east bank during the second half of the trip, It was only after the hotel knew that there would be no harm without comparison! If a friend comes to the hairball, I will definitely recommend living on the South Bank. Speaking of service, Tamartha has two Chinese housekeepers, Esther in Qinghai and Zenobia in Hong Kong. After arriving at the hotel, E was very enthusiastic about bringing us familiar with the environment and introducing facilities. sharp contrast. The little housekeepers also helped me find medicine and fruits, and now I still feel warm when I think of it! Besides the hotel facilities, the decoration style of Tamartha is not luxurious, but I found that as long as the room is comfortable, the exterior of the hotel is beautiful. Tamartha's beach is also a private beach, with a wealth of water items, snorkeling, paragliding, glass boat rowing boats, and the housekeeper will inform you in advance which items need an appointment. The beaches on the south shore are much cleaner than the east shores, and the sea surface is much calmer. The scenery is dominated by the setting sun. Lying on the beach in the calm afternoon and watching the evening is really pleasant. The main restaurant is a buffet. The theme is different every day. The Indian theme is my favorite. The local cuisine of wool ball is not delicious. The honeymoon meal was upgraded to an open-air French meal by the sea. This may be the biggest slot in the experience. The dishes did not like it and it caused me a fever. The hairball traffic is really expensive. When you take a taxi from the airport to the hotel, the driver has a fixed price. It thinks that it feels pitted, an hour's drive, 2200 rupees. If you don't plan to make a hotel, people who go out every day will still rent a car online. It's only 500 yuan a day. If you plan your trip, you must book a day trip from the Internet in advance. There may be no places when you set the ball. In order to save time, live in the south shore of the dolphins seven-colored earthen bird park. For the ball, driving time is the biggest benefit.

We had the most wonderful experience at C mauritius resort hotel. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Mrs Karen the Front Office Manager, Mr. Nevin the receptionist and Bradley the bell boy. The staffs of the hotel were always ready to help and all of them were very friendly. The food and the service were excellent. The room are so big, spacious and well cleaned, the bed was super comfortable and had a good restfull night sleep. We were well served at the bar Andiket was amazing. At the buffet restaurant we were warming welcome by Mr. Jess what a nice man give us all the restaurant information. Nice swimming pool fabulous relaxing corner. The view was a sight to behold and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting to spend the dream tropical holidays. We recommend this hotel if you are looking to have best time in Mauritius ❤️❤️

Free parking and gate security are in place like all hotels in Maodao. We were just in time for the hurricane. We couldn't go to sea in rainy days. The hotel also had a lot of entertainment facilities. Table tennis, football, sand, volleyball, and pool. The WIFI signal in the room is very weak, only the balcony signal is very strong. I wonder if the facility was affected by the hurricane. The beach is downstairs, but the WIFI signal is very strong. There are many schools of fish not far from snorkeling, and basic water sports facilities are free of charge. The staff is very friendly, the environment in the yard is beautiful and quiet, it is much better than the salt selection we stayed behind, it is worth recommending ~

I took my mother on a vacation of a lifetime in May, and after several days of travel from the western US, we finally arrived at the Sands. We were picked up from the airport and the driver was very nice and got us to the hotel, and once we walked in, we were blown away. The reception area was beautiful and the views spectacular. We were shown our room and it was spacious, and clean with great views out the balcony. As we put our items away a gentleman came to give us a Covid screening. (we laughed because he was wearing a lab coat...) We relaxed by the pool, or played in the water and the staff was always making sure we had everything we needed. The food was very good, but some things were better than others. It was fun to try new dishes that are not part of the cuisine at home. On our first evening my mother wanted wine, and Rahja was very helpful and found her one. From that evening onward, he came to talk to her each meal and made her feel like the most valued visitor there. They laughed and joked a lot. He found her a few more bottles during our stay as well! He was by far her favorite staff member. Soudesh was of great assistance to us, booking off site adventures for us, and arranging transportation. He also asked the kitchen to make me some of their banana jam to take home, as I loved it so much. We used the spa as well, and my mother got the best massage, and mine was only mediocre. The beach at the Sands is also the best along that shoreline, so it's much easier to walk on than further down as it bites into your feet a bit. What made the Sands so nice is how warm and caring the staff was. They felt like family and they seemed to really care about you and really wishing you to have a great vacation. We stayed on the opposite shore after a trip to Reunion Island, and missed that, and wished we were back at the Sands. If I am able to return to Mauritius, I would definitely pick the Sands for my stay!
