"The front desk staff's attitude was just okay on check-in day. They handed me the room key and breakfast vouchers without telling me where breakfast was or what time it ended. Breakfast is served in a shared restaurant with the Hilton Garden Inn, and the selection was very rich, though it did get crowded. The gym is also shared and was pretty empty. The room was decent, though the facilities weren't new. They offered two pillow choices, which was standard."

"This was my third stay in this hotel within a month. Will I stay again if I’m in Rizhao - definitely a YES. Front desk staff is helpful although most seems were quite new on the job. The hotel is very updated in term of technology. Lights are turn on automatically when you enter the room and curtains open up automatically with day light. My only complaint is the air conditioning system is not fast enough in cooling down the room. Breakfast is delightful. Location is good with plenty of eateries and shopping within a short hop. Highly recommend to others"

The lobby is grand, and the room was clean and spacious with an absolutely stunning ocean view from the balcony; it was so relaxing to feel the sea breeze and enjoy the scenery. The pool and gym facilities are well-equipped, and breakfast was plentiful. The staff were attentive and polite, making for a very comfortable vacation. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Rizhao; it's definitely worth staying at!"

"We had a two-night, three-day trip. It's about a three-hour drive from Shanghai, making it a relatively relaxed family getaway. If you're just looking to entertain the kids, staying at the hotel is perfectly fine. There are plenty of activities, a water park, and you can even dig in the sand and play in the waves just by crossing a skybridge – no need to go to the滨海森林公园 (Binhai Forest Park). They offer a butler-style service, and kids receive gifts at both check-in and check-out. Of course, they also ask you to write a detailed positive review mentioning specific names. The breakfast was pretty average; while it seemed like there were many options like pancakes, rice balls, waffles, and even roasted sweet potatoes, the taste was quite ordinary. Despite that, I would still recommend it to friends."

"One-star warning! Avoid this place! My overall experience at Rizhao Yanda Resort Hotel was terrible, and I absolutely do not recommend it for families with children. The service was completely inadequate; staff were constantly unresponsive and dismissive when asked questions, showing almost zero professionalism. The hotel's internal management was chaotic, and public areas were disorganized. Housekeeping was perfunctory, with dust and stains visible everywhere in the rooms and play areas. This is the first hotel I've stayed in where they use pull-out toilet paper – how much money could that possibly save? Despite being advertised as a family-friendly resort, the entertainment areas were tiny, and there were very few activities for children. There was basically nowhere for kids to have fun, making it extremely poor value for money. I will not be returning and advise everyone else to avoid this pitfall."

We stayed at Huangdao Beach for two days, and while browsing online, we saw that Rizhao looked nice, so we decided to check it out. It was a pleasant surprise: the location was great, with many attractions and food streets nearby, and the beach was just a few dozen meters away – perfect for a morning or evening stroll; the service was attentive, the breakfast was plentiful, clean, and hygienic; the staff were very friendly to dogs. They even gave us a gift when we left. Overall, a great experience!"

"My friends and I came to Rizhao for a week during the May holidays. We found a decent apartment. It was quite clean, had a balcony, a small bathroom with a shower, and two rooms with beds. The location was convenient, 10-15 minutes from the sea by scooter, and it took the same amount of time to get to the nearby shopping mall. We were a bit lost at first, but the hosts contacted us, gave us a ride, and told us about the city and its main attractions. They were very nice people; they kept in touch with us and brought us supplies if we needed them. They were very friendly and sociable. A great experience, a great city, especially during the holidays (it turned out to be quite laid-back and calm). We hope to come back again!"

"This was the best value-for-money stay ever! We stayed on the 48th floor, and the entire Wanpingkou sea view was right before our eyes. It was an east-facing view, and I had planned to watch the sunrise from bed, but I overslept! 🤣 They even upgraded us for free to a duplex family room, which was clean and comfortable, meeting five-star standards! 🤣 It's a shame the small tea table on the second floor didn't have a table, just cushions. The hotel is right next to Vientiane City Mall, and it's very convenient to catch a bus downstairs to the University Town night market. The only thing I'd provide feedback on is the breakfast. The stir-fried dishes were delicious, but there were no milk pods or stirring sticks for the coffee. I ended up using chopsticks to stir it."
