I previously wrote a 1 star review because the A/C in my room was broken for the first 5 nights of my stay despite multiple times asking for it to be addressed. After posting the review, the GM contacted me and said it would be taken care of. When I got home from work that evening, it was still 79 degrees in my room so I asked to be moved. My room was upgraded that night after the same person I spoke to for 3 nights in a row called the manager. I have the highest Marriott status so I only assume I wasn't upgrade to begin with, or even acknowledged, (like other locations) because I requested a lower floor due to my dog. Regardless, the room is much nicer/larger, the amenities are better (nicer toiletries, "towel art"). The reason that my review is still only 3 stars is for the ridiculous amount of time it took for someone to actually address the situation and the apathy of the majority of people I interacted with at the front desk.
