Dorset Hotel, Isle of Wight ★★★
"Location good for town and buses to other parts of the island. Excellent value for money. Breakfast excellent. Staff friendly and helpful Nice to be able to relax in tv lounge by the bar that had offers on some drinks Comfy sofas and pleasant decor Number of steps might be an issue for any less mobile guests (breakfast room in basement) Generally a pleasant stay"

"Beautiful hotel with great accommodation and lovely staff. Would highly recommend, close to main bus and train station. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bar downstairs has a homely and warm feeling to it, as do the local punters. Overall a great stay. "

Lakeside Park Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"We did a twilight spa and meal deal, and were left a little disappointed. A spa experience should be relaxing and peaceful however there were so many people crammed in and kids in the pool, it was neither. Nowhere to sit/ lay and not enough space for everyone to use facilities at once so it was far from relaxing. You should be able to lounge at a spa so maybe a good rule of thumb to adopt would be admission for any many people are there are loungers/ seats. We ended up leaving after an hour. Staff were lovely though, particularly the spa receptionist who couldn't do enough for us. The meal was also very good and restaurant staff great. Just a shame that spa numbers aren't monitored better, with guest experience being considered."

The Fishbourne ★★★★
"We went here with friends who were visiting from the mainland. We live on the island and have been here several times before. The last 3 visits they have either not had a real ale delivery or had run out. The food was average , the service was less than average. Registering your car for parking is easy and no problem whatsoever so we are not disgruntled customers who have an issue with parking. This used to be a fantastic place to eat and I’ve left them some brilliant reviews in the past. Sadly we won’t be returning any time soon."

"Trip was booked by my partner as a Christmas present, it was a lovely surprise that we received a complimentary upgrade!! Having stayed here on many occasions before, knowing that the site was a good location, the grounds are beautifully kept & the staff are friendly & helpful. Accommodation was immaculately clean. Beds are very comfortable, great amenities & felt very relaxed from start to (almost) finish... My car got stuck in the mud & the maintenance guys (Ben & Pete I think that their names were?!) went above & beyond to push the car & rescue us!! They sprung in to action and quickly resolved the situation...we really appreciated the rapid response!! Thank you, will definitely stay again!! Xx"
