Inn Off Capitol Park, Ascend Hotel Collection

The initial room I was given had a lot of dried back up sewage in the bathroom sink so housekeeping was called in and I was directed to return to the front desk for a different room. I went back upstairs and tried to use one of the key cards to open the door. It did not work. This went on and on.....suffice it to say I will not book here again.

The hotel is conveniently located and I can see how this is more geared towards weekday business travelers. The service was good and the rooms clean and comfortable. The rooms are very small and the walls VERY thin. We stayed on a Saturday night on a little get away and our neighbors kept us up all night. They sounded like they were in the same room as us So that was a bummer…

Stayed for one night, place was super clean and quiet which I greatly appreciate. Front door clerk was very helpful as well, gave me good tips on places to visit around Sacramento.

Easy all around... Check in was quick and easy, room was nice, area great for dining and entertainment. Would def go back.

Clean clean clean This is my 3rd stay at this hotel for their cleanliness , location that is walkable to different restaurants. Their housekeeping is better than the Hyatt, smells clean and I can sleep well

The hotel is unique in that it has a nice commons area. it is convenient near the capitol and parking is easy.

Let me begin by noting that Sacramento is going through a period of difficulty with accommodating and protecting the unhoused, plus maintaining its reputation as a major city for politics and business when there are tents in the streets. It's also clearing out camps right now. I came in on a Saturday after having to move myself and my luggage across six city blocks in 90-degree heat. Based on the desk person's response to my appearance (sweaty/no car/luggage), she clearly thought I was homeless. She questioned my reservation, took a long time scrutinizing my ID and asking all sorts of questions before finally giving me my key cards. No offer of water (which happened the last time I checked in). I went up to my room, freshened up and changed my clothes, then came down for the free cookie -- her attitude was quite different. I brought this up when I checked out the next morning with a different desk person, and got an apology. I'm writing so much to give this the proper context, but I don't think I'm going back. I never want to experience that again -- and I feel sorry for those that will in future.
