"very lovely place! it is new (opened in July 2025). The service from when your car is in the porch (There's a valet), till check out, it was perfect. The onsen was great. It's not as warm as the others but it makes staying in the onsen longer possible. Was pleasantly surprised about the complementary dinner and breakfast! Dinner was great and was paced out so it was just nice. For breakfast it was a buffet spread that was great! I love the selection and freshness. It is in between mountains so the drive might be long but so worth it for the price"

"It was convenient to have my reservation name at the entrance. The owner was so kind and warm, and I had a comfortable stay. I had a quick flight the next morning, so I had to check out quickly, but I wish I had stayed longer. The bedding, towels, and other items were all very clean. It feels like a historic place, so it has a warm and cozy atmosphere, but that's what makes it so special. The large bath was also very clean. I felt like all the fatigue from my days of travel had been washed away. If you don't rent a car, it might seem far to get there, but the bus number 73 from Saga Station takes about 50 minutes. There are about one or two buses per hour. If you pay attention to the timing, it's a reasonable distance. Also, I regret not being able to fully enjoy the meals served at the ryokan because I overate over the past few days. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. We were only two people, but dinner was generous enough for four. The food was also the best I had during my entire trip to Japan. They were very friendly, but a translator is definitely a must. I recommend the Papago app. The bath fee is 300 yen, payable in cash upon check-out. When traveling in Japan... always have plenty of cash! The bus fare was a bit steep, haha."

"It is a quiet landscape that seems to be nestled in the forest, and the hotel on the hill is majestic, as if it boasts its age and experience. I ate Japanese specialty food. All of the food was delicious and overflowing with class. The view of the river from the spacious tatami room is exquisite. The early morning buffet breakfast was also a delicacy among delicacies. All of the vegetables were carefully prepared, and the clear tofu soup, a local specialty, was also a delicacy. Of course, the fluffy white rice and miso soup were the best. There were a lot of things, but the liver and taste were the best. It was a ryokan hotelu that I wanted to go back to."
