It started out really bad like the commercial on tv, with the mom waving at her children across the hotel lot. They corrected the error and we ended up in a suite of five beds. The check in time is at three in the afternoon instead of letting you choose. The service for the room was very awesome. Thank you

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast area was clean and the food was decent. They had hot breakfast of sausage parties and scrambled eggs one day and sausage links and cheese omelet the next. They always have a waffle maker and prepared oatmeal. They also have a large selection of snacks and toiletries in their conversion area. The location was a bit odd to access and the view wasn't anything to write home about and it's right next to train tracks, so I gave them only a 3 for that.

For the price you can't beat this hotel. Exceptionally clean room and friendly staff. I will definitely stay there again next time we are in town.

I chose this place for my family of 5 to stay on a 2night 3 day trip to Cedar Point and I am so happy with my decision! This place is home away from home! There were many different rooms to choose from. Something for everyone! I chose the 2 bed 1 bath with kitchen and sofa bed. It was very roomy and the A/C worked so well! Very clean! Parking right out front! And a huge gated pool with slides! My kids loved it here! Only 5 minutes to Cedar Point too! Big shout out to the staff too! They were all so friendly, warm and welcoming! The helpful gentlemen at the front desk, and of course Sandy and Betty! Oh also they have a complimentary breakfast in the mornings too! Such a nice little family owned hotel. I will for sure choose South Shore Inn on all my stays in Sandusky! Karen
