Aegean Plaza Hotel

Beautiful hotel, very clean and well maintained. Modern and the breakfast was full of variety. Would visit again!

The breakfast buffet, and the location by the beach is the reason for the two stars. After that it was all downhill. The hotel was located by the flight line for the airport. Sometimes the planes going overhead were so close you thought you could reach up and touch them. My room was on the first floor. As a result, it was a dark box with the light coming from the glass door and adjacent windows. Unfortunately, the windows didn’t open and you keep the door open with the curtains closed. And you had to keep the curtains closed cause the first floor rooms face the pool area and bar. Every time you opened the curtains everyone at the bar were staring at you. as a result, it was a hot damp box. My clothes were damn the bed was damp everything was damp. It was an awful hot stuffy and dark room.

This hotel was beautiful. The rooms were very large. I had a closet, a pull out sofa, a kitchenette with stove and refrigerator. It was very clean. Just a few problems - one morning it took at least 5 minutes or more for the hot water to arrive at my bathroom sink. The shower had no door on it so I had to mop up the floor. The shower also needed some safety handles in it as I did slip. Fortunately I caught myself and didn't fall. The bathroom could also use an exhaust fan. After my showers all the wall in the bathroom were wet from the steam. There were no towel racks in the bathroom and I only had two towels.

A fabulous hotel with great staff - especially George (barman) & Arthur (F&B manager) who were so friendly & funny. The room was kept so clean, changing towels daily & tidying up after us!! Again always with a cheery “kalimera”. Beds really comfy too. Three pools available to suit families, couples & those wanting a snooze or quiet read in the sun! On a personal note I have to thank the reception team for calling me to let me know I’d left car/house keys in the safe. Unfortunately I was en route to the airport but they immediately arranged for a colleague to drive to meet me there (understandably with a small charge). Panic over. Huge thanks. Would definitely recommend Aegean Plaza and hope to return for a longer stay.

Such a beautiful elegant hotel with excellent surroundings of shopping dining and beach areas. Amazing little villa rooms facing swimming pools. They have a couple of pools. Above all although we got a very standard small room wt small toilet and minimal facilities (There was no tea coffee facilities etc and bathrooms were v small with slow water flow) etc, the best part of their hotel was their staff. Front office Christina deserves a 5 star service award. From her kind nature of explaining and booking tours for us and arranging rooms. We were awed by her genuine ways of going out of the way of serving her guests with vip service. Room service was also up to par. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Totally agree with all the 5 Star reviews, what a great holiday. 3 liitle caveats though that i didn`t want to affect the rating. 1. the obligatory towels on the beds on the morning. Wedding party took up all the beds with the best sun all day & hardly used them. 2. Might be a good idea to review your Cocktail prices. Might see more people in the bar on an evening. 3. Put Coffee making facilities in the rooms. For a 4 star hotel i would have thought this would be standard. Don't let this take anything away from a great place i would recommend to anyone of any age.

From start to finish another excellent visit to Aegean Plaza, the rooms are spotless, room attendants lovely and efficient, pool spotless and only two minutes from the main front. Tha staff are amazing, Christiana, Penny, Angel, George to mention a few. A wee bottle of bubbly as returning guests a lovely touch and seeing the same staff helps millions, keep up the good work all in all faultless. Room 316, excellent if you are mobile as quite a few stairs, from start to finish we love it and will be back next year.

Beautifully appointed hotel, ideal for couples and families. I was with my 2 children, spotless room, cleaned daily, fresh linen and towels. Warm and welcoming staff, gorgeous breakfast, so much choice. All the food was en pointe, buffet dinner/à la carte, cocktails, wine, etc. Miss you already, super pool too, could go on! 🫶

Very nice room overlooking the pool, in fact just like the photograph - big and airy, muted colours, quite good storage and a very comfortable bed. We did have a few issues when we arrived, such as a broken toilet seat and a stained sheet on the bed - these were rectified very quickly when reported but really, housekeeping should have picked up on both beforehand. Towels were white and fluffy and like the sheets, changed regularly without us having to ask. A few improvements could be made - a hook for the hand towel and a proper hairdryer rather than the tube blowing hot air, for example. And who thought it was a good idea to put the safe at knee height right at the back of a cupboard. It is a very nicely designed hotel - most rooms look onto the pool which is a very attractive area. All sun beds were reserved by 8.30 although to be fair, most were occupied after breakfast. The pool is lovely although it would be even nicer if, like other hotels, inflatable toys were not allowed. On some occasions, it wasn’t possible to get in due to various shaped inflatables and noisy children/adults in the water - not the hotel’s fault particularly, but there were several groups of people there during our stay and they took over the pool/bar area. At breakfast time, some of them thought it was fine to walk in wearing just swimwear and bare feet - most hotels do not allow this. On the subject of breakfast, the paper napkins and table mats had a most peculiar smell not unlike manure - has no one else noticed this. The hotel is very near to the airport and planes come in low every day, making a lot of noise, but this didn’t bother us and we never got tired of watching them. The mini market behind the hotel sells virtually everything - very handy - and we hired a car from the place just along from the mini market for a reasonable rate. The resort itself is very nice with a long promenade and some very nice shops both along the promenade and in the street leading up from it. Something that did become slightly annoying on the promenade was running the gauntlet of the restaurant and bar staff who accosted us constantly, but I realise they are only doing their job. The beach. If you want a beach holiday, this is not the place. The beach is a disaster and those calling it beautiful must have gone to a different beach. It’s classed as pebble but it’s all sizes from shingle to pebbles to small boulders, and trying to get in the sea is all but impossible due to slippery and uneven rocks, even with beach shoes. Watching people trying to get in became a spectator sport for us. On top of that, the sea was extremely rough while we were there, making it even more dangerous. Disaster. Perhaps that’s why so many fellow guests stayed around the pool. Even the fact that most restaurants let you use their sun beds for free does not make it less of a disaster. Overall, a very nice hotel in a good location, and one we would stay in again if it were not for the beach.
