Clean and modern, with great service. The receptionists are attentive, very helpful and speak English. Room amenities are available if you ask (e.g. toothbrushes, shower caps etc.). Travelling as a couple, it was perfect for our 1 day layover. The room had air con, international sockets (no adapters needed!) with USB-A charging outlets built in. The shower room was a bit small though, and the shower cubicle/tray itself could have been bigger. Overall, very good for the price. There's a steamed bun place next door as well as a convenience store. We took a DiDi to the hotel instead of walking from the metro, so can't comment on the walking distance.

Overall the hotel room is very clean and it was a good experience staying there. I like the minimalist design and the shade of colour and find that this hotel is very comfortable for me. Good points: Very clean. Location is central and it is located in the heart of Shanghai must-visit attractions. Many food options to select from around the area within walking distance. Customer service is superb. The hotel front desk staff are all very helpful and willing to help, they even helped me to ensure that my Didi location is accurate. There are complimentary tea and coffee at the entrance area as well. I would say this is worth the price, comparing to another hotel which is more expensive than this. They have good security also. Rooms for improvement: The hotel does not have a lobby area to load/unload luggage, hence you will have to cross the road to hail a cab or book DiDi, can be inconvenient especially when you are lugging your luggage. The sink area is outside of the toilet, hence you have to be careful while brushing or washing stuffs but generally not a huge concern for us.

Absolutely superb location with warm and thoughtful hospitality! The hotel is perfectly situated within easy walking distance to The Bund and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. The kids were delighted with the welcome gifts, which added a lovely and memorable touch to our stay. Breakfast was never a concern — just step out of the hotel and you’ll find plenty of authentic local breakfast options nearby. Compared to the picture during the booking process, we got a much smaller room with a lot smaller window. Anyway clean room, clean bed and towels, nothing really special but a good accomodation for a reasonable price. Small shops, restaurants and convenience shops around. Moho Mall and subway station about a 10-15 min walk away.

The hotel’s location is excellent — near exits 1, 2, and 3. I chose this hotel because it’s on Metro Line 2, which is convenient for getting to PVG Airport. The hotel is easy to find; it’s on the 7th floor of the building that has a Luckin Coffee shop. There’s an elevator operating 24/7 with a security guard stationed there at all times. You can store your luggage for free at the hotel after check-out. The staff don’t speak English, but using a translation app works perfectly fine. The staff are polite and provide good service. The room is clean, though it felt a bit stuffy at first—probably because it’s a room without windows exposed to sunlight. However, the hotel had already turned on the air conditioning, which helped. If a room with natural light is available, you can ask the staff to change it for you. There seems to be only one power outlet in the room. The internet is a bit slow but still usable. If you plan to have the buffet at Dongshen, the restaurant is in the Mosaic building on the 5th floor, directly across from the hotel. I‘ve stayed in Hanting Hotel for 4 nights. My room was standard but very spacious with a king bed and was well equipped with a kettle and daily water bottles supply. They provide daily room service and they a self service washing machine and a drying machine which is perfect for a longer stay. The location is super convenient with many different restaurants and bars closeby without being noisy or crowded. Subway station Chapgping is nearby in 5 minutes reachable and Jingan Temple is only 15 minutes foot walk. It’s easy to call a Didi taxi or food delivery as well. The receptionists are very friendly. I would stay here again.

I had a good stay in this hotel. I almost missed finding this hotel though as it had a small entrance. The reception was ok but didn't really speak english -- had to use google translate to communicate. There was only one elevator so at times, there are wait times. I got a double room with window hoping it would be bigger but it was quite small. It's big enough for 1 person though! Although there was a window, all I can see is the wall. 🙂↕️. I'm happy they had amenities that I needed -- towels, shampoo, hair dryer! They also provide 2 bottles of water per day, which is good! The surrounding area is convenient as well as it's near a convenience store, restaurants and subway station. I would recommend this hotel for its value, cleanliness and convenience. 👍
