The hotel is nicely located and very cheap. The staff is friendly. Unfortunately, that is everything positive I can tell about this hotel.
The air conditioning was switched off and only provided heating. Since it was a sunny day, the hotel room had already 26’C, the only way to cool the room down was to get maintenance service and open the window manually. This exposed the room to the loudness of the nearby highway. Although I was on the 25th floor and had ear plugs I could hardly sleep through the noise of the cars.
The bed is rather short, if you are longer than 183cm you will have a bad time.
There were many stains and dirt in the room as depicted in the pictures.
The shower was mouldy.
In summary, it is good for a short and cheap stay if you don’t mind uncleanliness, but otherwise would not visit again.

Easy access from Yannan Gaojia if driving, and park underneath for 40rmb per night. Check-in was friendly and efficient. I have watched this place improve over the last 15 years. Service level is now close to international standard, and as good as it gets in China. For business travel I find it excellent. It is not a luxury hotel, but it is good and very decent value for money. And there are a few decent restaurant choices too.

This hotel was incredibly affordable, with quick and efficient front desk staff. We were checked in within minutes, no questions or problems. The room was spacious with an amazing view. 100% recommend for an overnight or long stay.

Best hotel to stay in Shanghai. Location is top, very clean and comfy beds at a very reasonable price!

Location is not bad not perfect too. If you primarily move by Metro the Station South Shaanxi Road is 750m away what is a liitle anoying when you have to walk it a lot of times.. You can take one of the rental bike which are in big numbers at the station and in front of the hotel as well. Oppsite to the hotel there a s small mini.market where you get a lot of things like beverages, snacks and so on like you find in any mini-market. Stuff is friendly, but if you need english then this is quite limited except of the upper management. Breakfast is good. I had an executive room on 24th floor. The room was goog in any way. If there is a complaint then only regarding the "executive lounge", which basically does not exist. There are to standard hotel rooms with a connectiong door where some tables, chairs and sofas are placed. More or less nothing mentionable offered there, except for some very basic packages of snacks which you wuld get in the minimarket for a few RNB. So the executive lounge is definitly NO REASON to book an executive room! But all in all except of this executive lounge topic, which feels a little bit like a rip-off, the hotel is fine and recommendable.

We stayed here after a night out in Shanghai. It was convenient for us. The only thing we didn’t know was that the gym and pool were closed. 😬

Service and facilities were great. The room was a bit outdate, but overall still spacious and great. Location was wonderful. No complaints at all, other than the pool not being open during our stay!

Checking in an out was easy and the staff seemed well trained. The location was conventient for finding places to eat and drink. The room was nothing special but it was acceptable. The hotel has 4 different restaurants inside to choose from and the first floor steakhouse had a bottomless draft beer promotion
Negatives:
The shower was inside of the bath tub
The wifi was very difficult to connect to and use.
Only one elevator seemed to be working at a time and sometimes I had to wait a while.
